how about setting a different browser as the default in iphone?
*
Don't think it will make any difference. All browsers in iPhone are actually the same (safari), no matter what you use.

you mean you don't have an option for Chrome browser in iphone?
Sorry ah, not an iphone user. But my iMac is running chrome.
*
What I meant is you can use chrome etc (not sure about setting default) but the underlaying framework is the same. Chrome in iPhone uses safari to show websites. So essentially you are still using safari.

^ Already posted yesterday, no one seemed to care lol...
Also, turn on your GPS to check for the locations that support that feature, so far there's only 2.
*
Such irony that boost implemented this.

Looking at you, TnG.

I am wondering though, can they legally do that? There was some news about cashless only payment in the US being illegal.

I wonder is there any law in Malaysia saying cash must be accepted no matter what.

Has anybody withdraw $ from boost before? Like for example top up too much in boost wallet, then later withdraw part of the $?
*
Boost has a withdrawal fee, not a wise decision I would say.

Should've complained to the e wallet companies, I believe that they will take stern action against merchants who impose a minimum amount for e wallet payments...

I do believe it's illegal in BNM's book as well, just like how merchants impose minimum amount and surcharges for card payments.
It's probably legal considering the fact that there are even cashless vending machines operating here...

You can usually find it in bigger LRT stations (eg: Pasar Seni, KL Sentral etc.)...
*
Not sure if they have distinction between machine and real brick-and-mortar store. Just maybe not yet sound cause not much people know about it (i.e. politicians)

Do you know what "Legal Tender" means? Please google.

It doesn't answer anything about my question though.

I am actually more interested in this:
QUOTE
He pointed out that new technologies that are readily available in Malaysia like “Tap-On-Phone” and Paynet’s DuitNow QR goes a long a way to serving this market. “Tap-on-phone” refers to a mobile solution that enables merchant to accept card payments without any additional hardware and DuitNow QR refers to a common QR standard that enables merchants to accept e-wallet payments using only one QR code.

No people thought of this before? So long overdue jor... Lol

NEW FEATURES ADDED:

- News added to 'Entertainment & News' tab in Do More section (powered by Newswav)

- Eatigo added to 'Food' tab in Do More section

Seems like they want to make a one-stop app for everything...
Would be good if the GPS isn't always turned on when using the app. Serve no purpose since it doesn't do navigation.

now don't need gps for boost to work la.

the location gps is used to filter merchants nearby you or for parking, etc.
*
I know what it's use for.
Since I kept my location services on, this status kept showing, which means boost is constantly requesting GPS location, which it shouldn't be doing.

then disable the permission or leave it as is.

This is not a good suggestion though. Best way is have boost only request position ONCE during start up and request more IF NECESSARY.
