C1200/850L --->Custom routing server on I3-4330 (route to anonymous vpn server here)--->Gigabit switch---> LAN connections to 3 neighbours' router.

I have my household devices connected directly to C1200/850L.

I'm paying about RM210 (inclusive of tax) for 100mbps now (contract-less)

Guess it's natural that I should contact TM and get the new package @ RM129 for 100mbps?

Any catch that I should be aware of? other than 24 months contract term

Yep, read about such compensation.. Pretty hush hush and so can't be relied upon per se, cuz no exact black & white..Currently pursuing that angle with the contact.. See how it goes. Will be going to TM tomorrow to give their 30 days termination notice.

With the amount you are spending, just downgrade to 129 and enjoy yourself. You spent way too much of unnecessary money and yet said no disposable income. I am speechless with the way how you managed all these things.

Those stuffs were done last year before I got lay off at beginning of year 2018  ............

Plus, I don't spent much....LAN cable installation and neighbours' router = neighbours paid for it.

Technically, I only pay RM130 total per month for both unifi accounts + seedbox/vpn combo.

I helped my friend to register and got it. She hasn't been paying a single cent since August. Best thing of all? She wasn't even under TM contract anymore when she terminated yet the agent managed to get this for her.

Actually this sharing stuff was suggested by TM agent (unofficially) cause there is no longer vacant fibre port.....
The only problem I have = C1200 legendary random reboot.
Nope, in France. That  why I often ask here if anyone encounter slowndown to EU region from time to time.

If you pay RM 129, you get to enjoy everything yourself and no need those subscriptions. Lagi jimat kan?

But 100Mbps vs 500Mbps = huge difference considering those neighbours are not bandwidth savvy....

1 seedbox/vpn = 2 houses = 2 accounts = total expense RM130.

If not sharing = (RM129 + 129) X 1.06 tax = RM273.48 even more expensive. Plus no sufficient fund for seedbox/vpn....

House B neighbours probably will agree to continue sharing too.

Maybe I will discuss with them about downgrading to RM139 300Mbps assuming if it is available next year.......

So....those who don't have sufficient fibre port or stingy/poor with money....might wanna consider my method.....

i know someone who did it for astro.. get multi decoder and let friends use.. can save alot of money

You need to walk in TM Point to do the change as it requires biometric authentication

Same case when I ask my techinician...they say got no id or password for unifiplay tv...but they say TM will send it via email or sms...I got mine via sms a couple hour after they finish my installation.

But the problem is the pricing on 500Mbps which was never revealed. Plus there are users paying RM179 for 300Mbps.

Official TM price from MCMC;
RM129 = 100Mbps
RM139 = 300Mbps
RM329 = 800Mbps
Neighbours insist wanna pay less by using that 25% discount crap from news. Let see what will happen after I informed them with the newspaper tomorrow. If they insists with their stance, then I shall downgrade and no longer share it with them. Very leceh one these guys.

Agree. Maxis also has RM89 without quota, and it is 30mbps down/up. No ISP has ever done this before the new minister came in. One more thing, people keep complaining about Maxis not good, when in fact they are using same infra as TM. THey should do the same like when they are in TM, report to MCMC and keep the ticket open until their problem solve.

My neighbours were really funny.

The moment I pointed out to them using thestar newspaper, they seem to be 'shocked'.

They asked a lot about maxis RM89 30Mbps and TM RM79 30Mbps. I had to explain to them on TM 60gb quota.

Then I said, "K lah, if you guys don't wanna share anymore, good luck on getting new port for your own fiber. Our district doesn't have vacant fibre port anymore"

Cue further explaination.....

Considering House A neighbours only pay RM50 each for current unifi 500Mbps for me......(what....sharing with total 4 houses including mine)......3 of my neighbours household 'representative' agreed to continue sharing....

This evening = will hold meeting with House B neighbours.....
