Not worth paying that much for what will likely be 500 Mbps.
Cheaper to switch in the long run and you won't feel short-changed in the user experience.

800Mbps for usage? biggrin.gif i doubt one will need it, as for now you still 100Mbps... of cause higher the better but i dont think one will need 800Mbps smile.gif just my 2 cents

but since you need it, better fight for yourself, TM might give you 500Mbps and reduce your price to RM159 like what they done to others...

Haha true. People are always never satisfied.
Sounds like the router can’t handle that many devices. You probably have to change router.

Register trial? They should have given you the account ID for it.

Just ask the installer for the SIP settings.

no id leh....
. and the installer didn't know any sip,
he show me all the passwd and setting for my acc in his tablet,. nothing there

Why do you need SIP settings though? Just plug the phone into the BTU and you can use the phone. It is not the same as Maxis. You are not plugging the phone into the router.

Yes, they are providing the DIR842 for new installations. Should work okay unless you want to upgrade router to something better.

I think so, I went back to the shop at LYP who sold me the cable for such service. But they say didn't provide such service due to not free to do so~

Just wanna know roughly how much is the charges for such service? And is there any specific grade of connector to be used for CAT5E, CAT6 & CAT7? Or connector is standard among all type of LAN cables?
*
just go to pasar road, and any electrical shop on the left of the street could do it for you.

TM technician just came over my place after I report that using LAN cable I only manage to achieve 300 plus. He tested using his laptop and also got same results 300 plus. Then he say probably BTU or router prob. So he say router already more than 1 year old ( dlink 850L) so will change with the dlink DIR842 to test first and got aboyt 497mbps via cable. So he charging me rm53 for the new router and let me keep the old one. But when I tested with my laptop I only get 300 plus again via cable. Technician say it's my laptop prob. Anyone have any idea?

Try Safe Mode with Networking and test again. You could be throttled by your CPU.

Btw which channel to use for 2.4ghz? And should I enable the ipv6 ( it's disabled by default). Only the ipv4 enabled.

Yes, I remember that you have ordered your C3150. You will definitely enjoy using it.

Try with the C3150 when it arrives. You should get higher speed. You should use a Wifi Analyzer to determine which 2.4GHz channel you should be on, but if you can't be bothered, just set to auto is fine. Nope, try not to enable IPv6. It is not implemented as well as IPv4, so keep it switched off.
