direct connection. mobile network module is part of the system. like tabled or laptop with built-in sim card slot
telco bandwidth usage is licence by mcmc. bandwidth number always fix depend of tower setup
Digi  have
2x5MHz of 900MHz  -  some place use for 2G and 4G
2x20MHz of 1800MHz -  some place use for 2G and 4G
2x20MHz of 2100MHz  -  some place use for 3G and 4G
2x10MHz of 2600MHz  -  4G
bandwidth is like highway line. the more the merrier but expensive
why 2x ? because FDD using up and down link.

very interesting thx for the info. tonight i will try to ss when one band change the bandwidth reading on hwmanager

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 29 2019, 10:19 AM)
This simply means B7 is the dominant band in your area, same as my area which used to be B3 but since last year will be B7.

Anyway, my B3+B7 is still higher than B7 la. tongue.gif

haha the reason just now i said its out of topic its because this one is not digi

i wish my digi has strong signal here like this celcom.
reason i want to share this is because in this case, b618 dont really help significantly, as i got about the same result using my phone using the celcom

i just wish if digi catch up with the 2 big boys (maxis and celcom) in coverage, but it also make me worry if it happens, i doubt they would still sell unlimited internet like this infinite because then every infinite user would have access to 150-160mbps sucking all those bandwidth bangwall.gif

btw my next project with this is to use external antenna, will start with the indoor one then after that the outdoor. i read somewhere here before or in b618 thread, if there is one famous outdoor antenna from yagi, will try to get that one

yes get the 22d variance is cheaper n within your budget. dont look into others brand ald... cheaper is b310 4G modem. b618 is 4G+ modem.
external antenna, Yagi txr-185 ori from indon. local does some selling expensive rm2xx~3xx. LPDA also works, but need get 2xLPDA.

then it's cable sellection for less lose in SINR
*
alright noted, i already checked, indo price is about RM87 only, but selling here around 200-300+ as you said. fortunately i fly to jakarta alot, but i need to check can it be dismantled and how small, dont want to waste time being stopped by kastam in airport doh.gif

Hi Guys.

I'm planning to subscribe Digi Infinite 150

May i know what's the billing date?
I want to subscribe exactly on the billing date to avoid the pro-rate charge since first subscription already need to pay RM300 advance for first and second month.
Appreciate any response from you guys.

Nope, did not try band locking. But might go ahead and try it out.
*
you should try band locking, even just using phone, it's really big difference, you can track back my previous posts of my experience about this

QUOTE(Candy12 @ May 3 2019, 01:39 PM)
Why do you want DiGi Infinite 80? It's capped at 5Mbps only just like Telco U's GX50 which is much cheaper and now improved Advanced network.

DiGi Infinite is giving promotion now Infinite 100 now with 12 months RM20 rebate. Pay for Infinite 80 but get Infinite 100 plan. 20GB tethering with 10Mbps speed.
*
just for fun, i already have i150 that i use for more than a year, i just wanted to test what many people reported before, they are having more than 1 digi with 2 different packages and getting different speedtest result, unfortunately there was no i80 anymore when i went to digi store. so i went with the normal digi postpaid RM 80, and i already tested it myself, AND i refrained my self to share here to avoid being attacked by hardcore fanboys mega_shok.gif

but if anyone interested to know the result, basically what those ppl reported are right, for more details just pm me, i will share my test rclxms.gif

now i have done with the testing, i already upgraded the digi postpaid 80 to i150 so now i have 2x i150, one for the modem at home, the other in my phone to bring outside rclxms.gif

QUOTE(Candy12 @ May 3 2019, 01:54 PM)
No its not.
Its not stated offcially in their TnC.
*
many users here and in other forum/group already reported if they are getting 10mbps too for i80, and tethering dont matter for me and those people, for reason that i am not allowed to mention here *cough*modmodem*cough*

i'm e5186-22a too last time..before i upgrade modem.

my house indoor signal for digi is weak, with e5186 is unstable connection, rsrp normally 109+dbm. the internal antenna seem not work so well with the UI which i'm unable disable the external antenna function.  I felt is running exnternal antenna auto.

i'm b310 user to... does notice the UI different which if enable external antenna signal will drop, is disable the function use internal antenna signal is a bit better.

Lastly upgrade b618, statisfy.. the internal mimo 4x4mimo does powerful and cosistantly 4G+ in 4G+ available area vs e5186.
well, Fruitie e5186 work well on her location. not mine.... anyway if could see some reading/stats of connection should be better  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

after more test done, in my case -78dbm to -102dbm resulted in about the same speed, what affect it significantly is the SINR, when it is poor like from 0 to 2db is pretty much not usable, gonna give me 0 point something to 1mbps, and when it is around 4db to 6db it will give me from 5mbps to 10mbps++, when it is above 8db which is average, then its 30mbps++, i've been getting good SINR reading at 4AM to 6AM, at about 11 to 16db, which give me 55mbps++, this is all using Huawei B618. I can't wait to get my hands on the Yagi antenna, hoping to see improvement in the SINR value

it's interesting to see this "merger" when Axiata is having the significant larger presence in the operating regional of the merge.

in this article they did mention "It is learnt that post-merger, Axiata will be a shareholder of the merged entity"

so it is an operational merger where Axiata will have more authority over it.

The newly merged entity will be based in Kuala Lumpur, with the Telnor group holding 56.6% of shares while Axiata will control the remaining 43.5%. In Malaysia, Axiata’s subsidiary, Celcom and its Telenor counterpart, Digi will be merged as well to become the largest mobile telco in the country.

https://www.lowyat.net/2019/185371/celcom-a...d-telenor-deal/
*
the articles source are 2, one is Telenor own website, which i think the LYN article quoted what you quoted

"It is anticipated that Telenor, based on equity value, will own 56.5% in MergeCo and Axiata will own 43.5%, both parties acknowledging that this is preliminary subject to adjustments and due diligence."

https://www.telenor.com/media/press-release...sian-operations

it will be a big win if Telenor get what they hope for since "In Malaysia, Axiata wholly owns Celcom Axiata Bhd while Telenor controls a 49% stake in DiGi.com Bhd."

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/axia...sian-operations
They dont even own half of what they use as bargaining power in Malaysia, yet after the merge they would control more hmmmm Digi Infinite Power.

I hope they speed up this process and finally i will be able to use Infinite using Celcom infrastructure

btw i know the talk about mod is prohibited, is the talk about band locking still allowed?

Band locking is fine, nothing illegal with that.

Celcom sucks in my area, I pray hard that I don't need to use it with my Infinite.
*
alright because i found something on hwmanager that i need to ask, maybe later

i doubt they will do that move and downgrade the user experience, but instead making sure those areas with bad coverage for both side will have better experience since they will have more access to each other infrastructure, after all, the merge is to strengthen their company values, which is their service as their main product

torrent is a protocol to sharing file. just like ftp. nothing wrong by itself
here is legal torrent

*
i was not talking in general context, but still in the area of Digi Infinite where by default they capped the usage of torrent, and the topic is to bypass that so we can use full speed in torrent

hello sifus

i am interested to get digi infinite 150 plan, but want to test in my house area 1st, what is you advice to do it? get a prepaid to test 1st then only go for the package when the speed is satisfied?

planning to terminated streamyx if this works.

My phone is Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus.
Initial testing around 8pm I am getting 5-15Mbps download and 0-7 upload.
I did test around midnight before, was around 23Mbps down and 40Mbps up.

Do you think modem will help alot?
I was thinking to get the Huawei B618 but I'm scared the speed won't be that good and I should get a cheaper one.
*
if both of your phone are rooted Android phones, try to find Network Signal Guru in appstore

you can change and lock band manually using that app apart from checking all the technical stats

your phone signal strength bar is the least informative indicator, it can show you full bar and thinking signal strength is good, when in practical it isn't necessary true

What's that to worry if you are using Infinite 150? If you are not, then I don't have much comments on that and don't blame Digi if they find out.
*
haha yeah something for i80 and i100 to be worried about rclxms.gif

lock band also not good ald? ping seem ok.

yes all the 3 band would detect my location as in Kuching, hence showing the distance is more than 750 miles from the server chosen in speedtest

i've encountered this already since a year ago and very often, but it never happened anymore for the past month, now it came back

if your lenovo tab is not rooted, try to find LTE Discovery in appstore, if it's rooted, search for Network Signal Guru
