i dont think u can instantly upgrade from prpeaid to postpaid so fast.. need to use at least a month or so..i read some where.

nowadays i felt like digi speedtest/actual speed are lie to user eyes...

speedtest >40mbps.

pc open utube 1080, mobile play pubg/moba.... latency spike....  puke.gif  puke.gif
*
the stability is really depending on the upload speed, i've experienced 40mbps+ with 1mbps or lower upload, once any device clogging that upload bandwidth, thats it, ping spikes, but if the download speed is only at around 7-10mbps with 7mbps+ upload, it will just smooth as it should be

this morning line suck ?
*
mine is ok, but usually when the line is bad, i notice one thing, when you do speedtest.net, even tho i live in KL, the server recommendation will be anything in Kuching, and if i change the server to KL, when you check on result, it will say that my distance to the KL server is >250 miles

but in normal days when the line is working fine, it will auto recommend anything in KL, and it will say my location to KL server is <50 miles

I think your location moved to kuching due to they reroute traffic?.. Maybe.. 2cent
*
definitely, main problem of some ISP is always bad routing. So when routing is bad, sometimes it gives an illusion if things are fine, because when you do most things for example browse FB, stream Youtube all work fine, but when you do specific server connection stuffs such as playing online game then you only notice the high ping, disconnection problems etc

No issue for me even it was reported outage for both my Infinite and Ambassador plan.

where to read the report, apparently last night mine had problems, band 8 was suddenly not readable at all, and band 3 had very low signal (which usually the strongest here), it last for about 40 minutes until i decided just to sleep it off.

And I joined the high speed gang.

Huawei b618. So far best modem you can get.

did you manually selected the band? because the upload speed is on the low side

I80 speed cap... Whatever test won't pass 10m...
*
i was not counting on it to pass 10mbps, because as someone posted earlier, i80 is supposed to be capped at 5mbps not 10mbps, based on DIGI TnC itself.

No.
Upload on sub 20m was acceptable for me. Got idea for make it faster?
This.
Other word. Telco have snecking upgrade the plan without notify. That make themself compative to other telco.
*
not sure how but from fruitie and others result, i've seen they got like 30mbps upload, currently i could reach 12-14mbps using my android phone with manual band selection at certain time only, already ordered b618 that supposed to arrive by today, but its worrying for me if i couldnt get above 16mbps upload all the time, because thats one of the top reason i bought the modem

capped by infrastructure, but in this context is by the modem, huawei b618 max LTE upload speed is 50mbps only

from few websites that i visited, it says 50mbps upload speed

You're implying prepaid accounts get better service than Infinite plans?  If I was paying RM150 a month and got treated like this I'd be hopping mad.  I think you're being paranoid.
*
actually i read about this before too, from many people who were complaining, some of it actually posted in digi forum itself, and i saw one with video before, he has 2 phones, one with digi prepaid, another one with i150 and run speedtest together. i think if you track back you can find it in my post few months back rclxms.gif

it doesn't matter what i think, i was just stating facts, and he also said it is base on his own experience, are you calling him a liar? rclxms.gif

QUOTE(josh5671 @ Apr 26 2019, 11:59 AM)
Actually. All telco lost some user whatever prepaid or postpaid at sometime.

If talk about digi speed issue.
The funny thing was,  the people who get slow speed(whatever location slow or digi fault) still stay at the group and keep bashing digi with slow speed test screenshot or other telco high speedtest.

My idea to them have two:
Aiyo, can't tahan/accept slow speed then switch lo, there still got other telco. why make your life so hard.
AND:
If your area only digi weak signal, Why you bother to try digi at first place. Switch for save money bro...
*
i totally disagree with your idea here, because if i were with that mentality, i wouldnt be able to find out solution to my 0.1mbps i150 speed, instead of digging up info and discussing with other people, i would just dump digi and move on, probably if the first person that found out if i150 would work much better with b618 with lock function had this mentality, many of these people here wouldnt be still using their i150, because they wouldnt know blink.gif

QUOTE(wizardofoz @ Apr 28 2019, 04:25 PM)
Recently my infinite 150 plan has extremely low speeds of 0.4 Mbps every night. I put the sim into a router and tether using my laptop. But when I tether using my other Digi postpaid 80 line, I can get speeds of up to 5 Mbps.

I complained and Digi said it was due to congestion and high access from other users. Plans are underway to increase capacity and support growing number of users in area.

But something doesn't add up since I get better speeds with my Postpaid 80 line. Does it mean that Digi is throttling the speeds for infinite 150? I'm located at Subang Jaya.

oh look another case laugh.gif

============================

btw i finally just received my B618-22D 2 days ago, after some extensive test for the last couple of days i want to share some of my findings, which i hope it can open up to some discussion that in the end it can enlighten us (especially me blink.gif )

- first time use without changing band with hwmanager, at the same spot where i used to place my phone, it is still automatically locked to band 3 (which is the worst speed in my area), RSRP got better by abit (from average of -97dB to -89dB), i was happy about it, but right away got disappointed by the speedtest, because it did about the same when using phone.

- changing to every band available (3, 7, 8) also resulted on the same speed as it was using phone. except when it was on b3+b7 or b3+8, its acting weird, its either the download speed or the upload is higher than usual, but the other one will be much lower than usual (for example using band 8 in my area during day time averaging 6-10mbps down, 3-6mbps up, when using b3+b8 on the same time and spot, its 20mbps down with 2mbps up or vice versa)

- moving around the modem to different spot, this is where things get interesting, the best spot for my phone isn't necessary the best spot for the modem. apparently there were spots where phone was at its worst, but it did good for the modem. with this finding, i went to move it around to as many spots possible, running probably more than hundreds of speedtest while monitoring the signal stats etc.

- managed to get 30mbps+ download when i put the modem at the right spot (finally abit satisfied after paying RM150 before tax every month for more than a year)

- on the 2nd day i was surprised the modem was not moved at all, but the speed is much slower, around 6-8mbps or lower across all available band, this is where i started to analyze more the stat shown in hwmanager

Attached Image

on the 2nd day whats different on my stat is the SINR, from a simple google i found out if it is related to interference, when it is really bad doesnt matter if RSRP and RSRQ are good or excellence, the speed will still be slow, and unfortunately even at the same exact spot, SINR reading will vary to some extreme difference during different time, after all, interference is out of our control, my solution to this only to move the modem around till i get good SINR reading

- the bandwidth reading in mhz might be the congestion related indicator, because no matter where i move the modem, it will still read the same, at certain time it will change, but some band only maxed out to certain mhz, for example band 8 only maxed out at 5hz

- the bandwidth reading is like a ceiling (cap) of the speed, for example:

Attached Image
Attached Image
------------------------------
Attached Image
Attached Image
------------------------------
Attached Image
Attached Image

4G -44 is B3+B7

4G 900 FDD is B8

4G 2600 FDD is B7

- as we can see here, signal strenght, signal quality, and noise level are the best at band 8, but the speed test shown the lowest by far among the 3, because the bandwidth reading is 5mhz
as for band 7, even tho the signal strength is the worse, but it gives the highest result because the bandwidth reading is the highest at 20mhz, but this is because the SINR (noise) reading is good, at different test i got the SINR at poor reading, with bandwidth 20mhz, the speed is below 10mbps

i hope you can see what i see here, and i hope people who understand more about this matter would help me clarify these things

sorry for the long post, enjoy your Monday everyone thumbup.gif

So you're convinced Digi is capping i150. You need to take it up with Digi and if necessary MCMC.

You're convinced if everyone stating their unfortunate experiences is attacking the telco that you might be idolized. I don't see any of your post carry value, rather look like an over defensive fanboy. So for the sake of everyone here, I will not respond to you anymore, feel free to continue to dispute those people and assume whatever you want bye.gif

You misunderstood my idea.
The people I mentioned, they complain on group/page just spaming same issue same screenshot(whatever) show how slow they are, mostly not even tried to fix problem, they believe slow issue will gone by itself?
Some people even asking 1-2 bar signal for 80-120 speed. How that happen?

Or maybe they forget how cell network work and asking it have the consistency like fibre?
*
Why would you get affected by that? It's their money, it's their suffering and cry, did they point it all of that to you?

Why would you assume they know how cell network works?

"My idea to them have two:
Aiyo, can't tahan/accept slow speed then switch lo, there still got other telco. why make your life so hard.

I quote again what you wrote, why that "can't tahan/accept slow speed then switch lo, there still got other telco. why make your life so hard." sounds like those people "u tak suka u keluar"?? bangwall.gif

"If your area only digi weak signal, Why you bother to try digi at first place. Switch for save money bro..." <- you assume one scenario in your head. they might have already use digi since way back, then move house, and other millions scenarios that doesnt suit your assumption

QUOTE(josh5671 @ Apr 29 2019, 08:59 AM)
fanboy lol...
People now day quite weird, you ask him if 'x puas hati' the service file complaint to Digi and mcmc, and you suddenly became fanboy..

This what I say,  they don't like the service but still stay on digi.

yow, this thread name is Digi Infinite Fan Club, he is here, he is a fanboy as you are laugh.gif J/K

"This what I say, they don't like the service but still stay on digi." wow you are big in assumption game rclxm9.gif

this has been not healthy and non-productive, and definitely out of topic, will stop responding to you too before mods give me a warning bye.gif
