I guess then something is wrong with my router or firestick. Im getting around 40mbps. Watching other streaming sites all don't have any problem. Only netflix experience frequent buffering and stutter.
*
i'm betting its routing problem, that's also the reason for so many case, fast.com always shows lower result compared to others like speedtest.net, since basically its by netflix to test your connection to their server, so with that being said, you can just try your connection by using fast.com

It's definitely cheaper than Infinite 150 which now cost RM139 (after rebate and SST included) but very limited availability in selected areas only based on their website coverage checker. Besides looking at their speeds makes me shrug if compared to what I am getting from my Infinite 150.

Bad news for DiGi though, as they will be forced to come up with a better plan to rival the competition.
That statement by DiGi is really misleading. They should fix that rather than frustrating potential customers and pissing people off. I wonder, if there is a contract/tie up period for the Infinite 150 with the RM20x12 rebate? Usually Infinite plans are without contracts.

Makes me sad because I never got my Box of Surprise after all these years of being a loyal DiGi customer.
Seems like they only allow you to upgrade and not downgrade. I feel your pain as some people who want to change plans also want to retain their mobile number. Too much red tape la.

it's in direct competition with with i80 and i100 with better offer (unlimited hotspot), and for some people in congested area with i150 like me (getting 20-30mbps at best in peak hours)

i80 can switch to The RM240 rebate in 1-2days? Since u saved RM160, in case the promo's over by the end of ur  i80.... that will be big F
If you own a B618 already, Unifi Air sim only - no contract RM79 can try. If no good terminate end of 2nd months (because RM100 upfront payment)
If u like troubled + unsolvable issue and hassle-intensive customer S and risk of getting seizure for 2years for a FREE locked unifi B618 use then go for the sim + b618 thumbup.gif

my question is porting out TO unifi air from digi, not porting out FROM unifi air to other telco

So in summary what I have done today:

1) Converted existing prepaid to Postpaid 80. I was told can only change plan after 1 month. Came back itchy hand, clicked on the rebate link, submitted order. About less than an hour, successfully converted to i150 with RM 20 rebate for 12 months.

2) Existing i150 converted to prepaid plan, done in 1 minute.

Hopefully my billing won't be screwed up because I did too many changes in one day. laugh.gif

Just in case anyone having the same issue
this auto-routing to East Malaysia is still happening until today, found a quick fix for it, after locking the modem to 4G+, just restart the modem, sometimes it would take 2-3 restarts.

QUOTE(zeonczk @ Sep 24 2019, 03:01 PM)
may i have the port out link to Umobile? i can't stand digi i150, mentioned unlimited speed but been getting less than 20K/s in Mahkota Cheras.. been like that for a few days already..
*
there is campaign of free trial of 7 days of umobile called ucoba try, find it in their website, so you can at least test it for 7 days in your area before committing anything. your case is just like mine last time (probably until now) the signal quality isn't that great, the area is congested, without using a modem with strong antenna and without the ability to lock band, i dont think your problem will be solved anytime soon (i'm just assuming you dont use modem)

Yeah, before this just endure it because always on hotspot for wife & kids to stream netflix/hulu when we are outside having dinner/lunch.. But now felt that the speed i get isnt worth the 150 i paid monthly..Better topup another 50 for 300mbps wired connection at home.. On top of that, getting company line,so im basically covered for any outgoing calls & mobile data.  laugh.gif
*
actually you can switch to Maxis to get the best of both world https://maxis-fibre.net.my/maxisone-prime/

so you have the best of fibre internet at home, while maintaining unlimited data while outside

this is out of topic, but i think its worth mentioning

sadly mine have been stuck at 40ish mbps for almost 2 weeks now (even at 3 or 5 in the morning), and for the past 3 days there was occasional RTO between 7PM to 10PM, except last night that lasted until around 1AM

and not sure why, i notice after seeing like hundreds of people SS of the speedtest (not only Digi but other telco too), my ping to these KL/Selangor servers are considerably much lower, averaging from 15 to 19ms, and other ppl always 30 and above

Sorry to hear that Bro. Having speeds of 40ish meaning you're not getting 4G+/CA (B3+B7). Plus side is that you have very low ping rate, which is great for gaming. I stopped playing MMO games, so the higher ping doesn't bother me.

Hopefully with all the interruptions, is due to DiGi upgrading their infra to cope with the network congestion and future expansion.

mine is always at 4G+ 99% of the time, there were days even my most reliable trick to connect to 4G+ did not work, but its probably happened only for a total 4 days for the past half a year

in my place the highest i have ever reached was about 109mbps, but i placed the modem downstairs like so far away from my room in the 2nd floor, basically not something that i'd like, so upon settling down on the decision to put the modem close to my PC in my room, after few hours of trying to find the best spot in the room, the current spot of my modem used to reach 70-80mbps during 3AM to 6AM+, but now like i said in my previous post, even at that off peak hours its only peaked at 40ish, i'm not really complaining about that since my main use is upload speed, but the occasional RTO is the one that actually bothered me alot

I'm currently having two;

1. Unifi Air (subscribed on 22nd October 2019)
2. Digi Infinite 150

Currently I'm using modem Huawei B315s-607 with these band specs;

HUAWEI B315s-607:
4G Band 1/3/7/8/28/40 (FDD 700/900/1800/2100/2600 & TDD LTE 2300Mhz)
3G BAND: DC HSPA+,HSPA+, HSUPA/HSDPA/UMTS/900/2100 MHz
GSM BAND : 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz

At the same time, I also have iPad Pro 11.

I conducted test to see the speed.

So here's my result.

a. Unifi Air

i. Speedtest direct from iPad

user posted image

ii. Speedtest from wifi (Huawei)

user posted image

b. DiGi Infinite 150

i. Speedtest direct from iPad

user posted image

ii. Speedtest from wifi (iPad)

user posted image

Hence, looking at the result, it is the modem that forbid my Unifi Air to reach its full potential and DiGi have the best speed either direct or wifi.

In which it makes me think and I really need to have your guys advice here;

a. Which line i need to terminate?

b. Should I get Huawei B618 to replace my current Huawei modem?

Your kind advice is really appreciated.
*
Hard to answer your questions when certain important information are missing from the big picture, perhaps you can help by telling us more:

1. your usage, what do you need from your internet?
stable ping/no spikes internet for online gaming?
high speed because you are heavy download user?
you are a streamer or content creator that would appreciate more upload speed for streaming or upload to YT?

2. can't really tell if your modem is bottlenecking your internet because i dont know if you did lock to a certain band or just leave it by default? or what band it was locking, probably just because of default your modem is connected to the strongest signal, but the slowest/most congested band, while your ipad connected to to other more unique band, just way too many unknown/not specified variables in your case

Guys, how do i get VoIP to work with DiGi infinite 150? It was working previously and suddenly i am unable to connect to any VoIP server anymore, eg. Discord
*
mine is working just fine so i doubt its digi or discord service having disruption, other thing that i can think of is DNS problem, did you change your DNS settings? try to change it back to default

I have never asked for reset before so have no idea. I'm back in hometown and using UniFi, totally not using Infinite. Wonder can I suspend my line temporarily? I used to do that when I go overseas for a longer period.
*
you can, i just suspended my line for 2 months about few weeks back, because i wanted to terminate it but they cant do it through phone and still require me to do it at their center during MCO
