Not just Maxis, almost all mobile telcos suffer from serious congestion if you live in urban and highly populated areas including DiGi during peak hours from 7pm every night to early hours in the morning.

^ LOL look at this maxis staff bashing here and there about digi in all digi thread but when somebody points out maxis is bad in calling 300GB fup as unlimited yet unresettable therefore getting throttled at night unlike digi where you can reset after 1TB of usage and getting full speed again, then suddenly all Telco is equally same congested at night. I'm sorry your maxis thread not laku here and even at broadband section that you need to go lurkingaround and bash other telcos

Hi everyone,

I'm considering i100 as a temporary broadband solution as I'm moving out soon to a new home.

I'm not sure about the 4G connection in Happy Garden/Kuchai area. I tried with my old Digi prepaid SIM card and I'm only getting H+. I'm not sure whether this is due to the older SIM card or the phone itself (old Redmi Note 4x -- which supposedly supports all LTE bands in Malaysia).

Please share your experience of using it, especially if you're in OUG/Happy Garden/Kuchai Lama area.

Thanks.

Is your SIM card active? I.e., not in Grace Period? If in Grace Period will likely not latch on to LTE.

I just reloaded it recently so it shouldn't be within that grace period. This number is an old legacy one with Digi (more than 10 years) so that's why I mentioned perhaps it's the SIM card (although I'm not sure if that would even be an issue). It's very strange. It keeps showing only H+. I checked Digi's coverage map and Happy Garden/Kuchai is within its coverage, so I'm not sure what's wrong sad.gif

Try to get a new Digi sim to try it out. Because once you ordered the Digi Postpaid 100 Infinite online, your RM200 deposit cannot be refunded in case you want to do early termination.

Well then it could very well be an old card problem. It'll cost you RM10 to replace it at a Digi Store.

If you haven't changed any SIM card in these 10 years, it could be most likely due to your SIM card is not yet LTE enabled.

Yeah, I'm thinking about doing so. Can I get this SIM pack directly from Digi's online store or do I need to get it from a Digi centre?
*
You can order online but buying it directly from shop is faster I suppose. I think I’ve seen new Digi SIM Pack at Speedmart 99 too.

QUOTE(geekystef @ Jun 24 2020, 02:25 PM)
Oh, it can't be refunded? That sucks but I can understand from Digi's pov. So, in other words, I'm locked in for at least 2 months for i100.
*
Yes the initial deposit cannot be refunded. And there is a RM10 stamp duty too for new Digi Postpaid registration.

Yeah, that seems to be the issue. Thanks for your input.

I may have to try a new prepaid pack to see if the LTE connection is okay here. I assume that I can move from prepaid to i100 if everything's ok. I don't see any option to purchase prepaid packs directly from Digi though.

No online purchases for Digi prepaid nowadays.

It’s actually still possible to buy Digi LiVE Prepaid starter pack on Digi website. Cannot choose number though.

For some reason, Digi did not make that link obvious on its website. I had to search for that link via Google. Thanks for letting me know about that starter pack.

Am I allowed to downgrade from i100 to a cheaper (contract free) plan later, if I want to?
*
Yes, you are not tied to any contract.

Hi guys, sorry if this has been asked before, will external antennas help with speed improvement for huawei modem? Particularly the unlocked b310 model?

I am currently testing digi connection with prepaid sim, interested in the infinite 150. The most i can get is about 17mbps

Buy the B618-65D unlocked set or B818-263. You won’t regret it.
