Hi. I need some technical figures here.

For Huawei HG8145X6 (Wifi 6), how much better is the wifi coverage compared to Huawei HG8145V5 (Wifi 5)? E.g. 1 metre further?
*
Wifi coverage about same. They are using same frequencies.

Speed wise may be different. However, subject to whether you are using wifi6 client devices when connecting to wifi6.

hello, not sure is this the correct place to ask this question.
Im current a 100mbps user with my own tplink ax20 with separate SSID for 2.4ghz and 5ghz

im planning to upgrade to 1gbps plan and will receive Huawei HG8145X6 + 1 wifi mesh. My question is im not sure how mesh router works, can i still have separate SSID for 2.4ghz and 5ghz for the huawei and wifi mesh?
i was too lazy to reconfigure every smart devices in my house and just plan to use back the same SSID and password for smooth transition.

Hi, please call our CS at 1800 18 1818 to request their assistance to set the HG8145V5 ONT to bridge mode. Alternatively, you may set your Asus to AP mode.

Thanks.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback and advise.

May I check, which setup would be better? Bridge mode or AP mode?

Thanks!

For wifi, no problem to have separate SSID.
You can always configure it with the same WiFi settings that you are currently using.
On the mesh node, you just click on the power button and wps button on HG8145x6 to let it link.
Once linked, the settings will follow.

How do i get a free replacement for a Wi-Fi 6 router without terminating my subscription?

An agent told me to cancel my current subscription & then re-register under another name to get the router which is crap to me.

Have you tried goto https://selfcare.time.com.my/ or Time Internet App

You should able to find the offer inside for free wifi 6 router if it is offered to you to renew your contract.
If you are still on the contract, I GUESS they are offering it to selective group. Try look inside selfcare.time.com.my first.

Bro want to ask for HG8145X6 is it 8+8 Mac filtering already max ? Coz i'm setting my white list and it said i got maxed for my 5ghz SSID. Can I add additional 5ghz SSID to get extra mac filtering ?

Beside to update i got dead spot on my MB corner as in Yellow, if I bridge to two TP-Archer AX73/ Xiaomi Mesh AX3000 mesh would it be better (2 mesh node the 1 next to HGX6 as primary (in orange circle)) ?

and AX73 / AX3000 which is better?

a. 1x HG8145X6 (wifi6 router with mesh enable)+ 1X WA8021v5 (wifi 5 mesh node) or
b. 1x HG8145v5 (wifi5 router with mesh enable ) + 1x WA8021v5 (wifi5 mesh node) or
c. 1x WA8021v5 (wifi 5 mesh node only)

hi all, would like to get advice.
Is there any past experience on using Archer C1200 vs Mesh6 in term of wifi coverage/penetration in condo unit? I'm currently using Archer C1200 and sometimes get a bit of delay/out of coverage in bedroom. Thinking whether worth the upgrade with using Mes6 ONT alone without additional node.
Thanks.

C1200?

Time to change. Best to get own router as the Mesh ONT might be less or more the same as existing.

Hi guys,

Would like to check if there is any Asus router that works for both Unifi and Time Fibre? (support up to 1gig or more). Thanks.

Btw, would Time offers more than 1gig package in the forseeable future? Thanks.
