Hi guys, if I get a 100mbps plan, what would my actual achievable connection speeds be like, both wired and wireless? As I understand it, wired it should be close to 100mbps while for wireless it may be further away.

Hello, thank you for the interest on TIME Fibre.
There shouldn't be any issues achieving 100Mbps through Wi-Fi as it easier to get the speed.
Try using 5GHz for lesser congestion.

I means to say, if I do a speed test over WiFi on the 100mbps network, what will my actual speed be like? Like on Unifi, at 500mbps but achievable speed is much lower when doing speed test over WiFi. However for wired connection, my achievable speed is very close to 500mbps.

For wireless will be around 80-100 depending on the environment and distance to the router.

i'm currently on 500mbps contract till march 2022 and using time's old router without mesh node function. i feel the internet connection is a little slow in my bedroom (3 bedroom condo)

i understand that i can recontract to get 2x mesh nodes for free.

question here is, are the mesh nodes compatible with my current modem and router? photos below are my current modem and router.

You can recontract and get free two mesh node.
One of the mesh node will replace the D-Link router.
Do check in your self care whether you are eligible or not.

i checked at the selfcare shop and only free for 1 unit if i renew 24months contract.
So this mean the mesh node is also a router?
Where you get the info for free 2 mesh node?

Hi, you can still use Dlink as Router but not recommended.
It's better to directly use Huawei WA8021V5 to replace DIR850L.

Thanks.

Does this mean speed upgrade offer(example 100mbps -> 300Mbps) will not provide a new Huawei HG8145V5 router(to pair with the mesh node), instead, only mesh node Huawei WA8021V5 is given(Essential starter pack)?

had been use TIME for some months. i am very happy with no complains. customer service easily reachable. speed does not compromise at all. i have the total speed that as promise from your advertisement.

recently i have slow page loading from my webpage. game will disconnect by itself and i need to reconnect it. had submitted my tickets regard the issue. TIME technical team could not get any faults. maybe i need to change my 4.5 years old laptop, and my 3 years old tplink router.

also, i need to ask. in future do you plan to cover your broadband at taman bukit segar? maybe i will plan get the business plan from TIME, when my office is fully setup.

any mesh nodes user with iphone or samsung note 10/20 at home?

reason being, i upgraded my phone from samsung note 8 to samsung note 10 coz the former died. wifi connectivity was superb when i was using samsung note 8. after changing to samsung note 10, i realised the wifi connection to my phone is not that strong. e.g. when i click on a website on phone, it'll take probably 5 seconds to load as if there's no internet connection at all. at times, i'll need to refresh the website or the app. quite frustrating.

my wife is using iphone and i'm not sure why her wifi connection is not very strong.

i'm wondering if upgrading to time's latest mesh node will solve these issues. hmm.gif

If they able to produce good test results using their own equipment, it simply means you gotta look into your own devices issues..

It will take some time, not so soon, as current infra only available at Eko Cheras. Do send me your project details, we will assist you to submit for assessment. Thanks.
