I cannot seem to login to the TP Link EC230-G1 router from TIME. Already used the TIME(4 last MAC ID).

I also tried to reset the router to factory default using the button at the back. No go. What is going on? Anyone has this issue before?

hello, may i know which firmware will works on time ec230? i having the same plan to split another router with separate subnet for my smart device.. currently aso using ax20..

Not possible, the ONU is locked down once configured by TIME.

You need another router to perform the PPPOE connection.

Time seems to have serious issues with thunderstorms and outages in my area. Every time there's a downpour, there's a chance the whole network goes down. And when it goes down, it's down for an entire day. This is in Elmina Valley btw, so the infrastructure should be fairly new.

Frustrating when you want to play spellbreak but can't. Yes yes first world problems.

But really. When the internet dies roughly 25% of the time there's a thunderstorm you start dreading the monsoon season.

Hi, a proper deployed FTTx network will not be affected by such downpour... Is it a prelaid infra done by your developer ? I suggest you to file a complaint to TIME at the same time feedback such issue to your building management to have a thorough checking.

Hi, technically it is possible but the auto provisioning which pushed in the config will not allow that anymore.

I cannot guarantee with that, you can check whether can set VLAN ID over there.

Hi sifus. I just got Time installed today, wangsa maju. Took the 500Mbps plan. How come my wifi speed measured by fast.com is only 50-60Mpbs? I'm using the free modem connected 2.4Ghz. My parents home 100Mbps unifi I'm getting 80-90Mbps using deco m9. Is it something wrong with my installation? Anything that I can do? Change modem? Reset by calling Time? Thanks

use a LAN cable cucuk at your router. Use your PC to do speed test.

Speed test from PC close to 500mbps?

Yes : Its not TIME side issue. Your wifi issue to solve.
No : Then call TIME to settle (but usually when they installing, they already test and show you the speed)

Wifi issue can be many factors. (previously discussed in this thread i believe)

LAN seems to get 400, looks like need to change to tplink a9 , I think recommended here?

Change dual band router.
I would suggest AX router.

Btw, when using the original free modem, at 5ghz band, getting 200Mbps. Was expecting 400+

Hello. Use OOKLA for speed test accuracy.
You are using the TIME EC-230-G1? TIME Stock Router can achieve up to 300Mbps via WiFi.
Do you have AX Devices with you. I would like to recommend you to get TP-Link AX20. Only get if you got WiFi AX aka WiFi 6 devices. Can buy for future proofing.
Wait for 11.11 to get the router.

Thanks ! Will check it out. I thought of getting 1 deco m9 since my parents house already uses 2 deco m9. Will need to compare m9 vs ax20.

How big is your house in sqft?
Deco Mesh need at least two units to work.
