what plan you using now then?

Testing TuneTalk Bebas 55 for 1 month at RM68. Advertised up to 18 Mbps... but never reached 8 Mbps. But it is consistent connection and unlimited hotspot using any device.

Quota is 80GB at max speed (in my case <8 Mbps). Thereafter "unlimited" at 256 kbps, so said Tune's TnCs.

Most likely will dive in for 12 month upfront subscription at RM55/ month. This is the closest it gets to that RM35 unifi bebas.

Or maybe would switch tu Unifi Air.

i see. adding this and yoodo to my plan, since i think i need around 60gb per /mo only anyway. will go for unifi air at the end too if my testing result doesnt favor the 2 in term of speed and price.

Wish to enquire between U Postpaid 38 and Prepaid U35. Does postpaid plan have stronger and faster network speed compare to prepaid plan ?

Any one compare before.

Thats a thing of the past. Few years back they might prioritize Business oriented pospaid compared to cheapskate student bought prepaid but nowadays it should be the same. Assuming 2 same phone set side by side, 1 using postpaid 1 using prepaid connecting to the same tower and both doesn't have hard speedcap, both should be fairly equal.

Depends on your area, you may try getting a prepaid SIM pack to test or ask anyone around from your area that's using U Mobile. Personally I feel the network has been stable in KL most of the times, although there are some hiccups here and there especially in MRT underground tunnel or some basement car park.

As for Celcom, are they forcing you to upgrade to their more expensive plans? If that's so, this is not their first time doing this, you have to threaten them that you'll be reporting to MCMC for unfair business practice because they have no right to stop you from upgrading to any plans regardless of how old your current plan is.

The only difference is that Postpaid 38 is full speed but with 30GB data while Prepaid U35 having speed cap at 6 Mbps but with "unlimited" data (100GB FUP).

Hi,
I'm using GX30 prepaid, I can confirm , it depends highly on your device and tower location.
I can hit above 6Mbps even with GX30 supposedly capped 6Mbps speed (Based on speedtest)
Postpaid doesnt mean your signal is stronger than the prepaid.
Cause essentially you are sharing the tower with other uses, both prepaid and postpaid.

Ah yes, still using the same exact tactic to trick loyal users, it feels like they're trying to "penalize" loyal users for sticking with old plans for so long so they have force loyal users to jump straight to their premium plans, very dirty business tactic right there. doh.gif

But anyhow, hope you're satisfied with U Mobile. smile.gif

why 3 mbps when the same price can get 6 or 12 mbps with umobile

just like another telcos, when speed too slow, change the lte band

umobile have 3 type of speed test
uncapped nperf and speedtest.com speed to diagnose how fast or slow networking speed
video-onz streaming firewall
capped subscribe plan speed

Anyone know why UMobile hotspot doesn't work well with my Windows 11 laptop?

I bought a 5GB 1-day quota and got 4G+ connectivity and the MS Teams video conference was going okay, but I cannot connect to anything on my browsers or Outlook email.

I switched to Digi hotspot and all apps worked perfectly.

I might not be able to help you out but perhaps UM is not the culprit here as mine has been working flawlessly since day 1.

Hi Sifus. I've subscribed to U40 but noticed that my hotspot limit is only 3GB. I thought the new U40 already unlimited hotspot?

Prepaid U40 plan comes with 3GB high speed hotspot, followed by unlimited hotspot at 6Mbps.
