Max data speed for gprs and edge is 100kbps. Whatsapp text should still load, picture would still load too after few seconds. Gotta forget about loading video or watching youtube tho, literally unuseable

Yoodo is cheaper. Not unlimited per se but rm12 for 2000minutes is far cheaper than rm30. 2000minutes equals around 33hours, rarely anyone could finish that much talktime. For all we know umobile could have tnc for fair usage policy and it could be lower than yoodo's 2000minutes.

Not really. Yoodo offer 2gb for rm12 so total it'll be rm24 for 2000minutes and 2gb data, double the umobile data but still cheaper rm6. The pro of umobile here is the free basic and free unlimited social usage, with con of subpar coverage compared to yoodo's celcom.

Then the new gt30 is for you if you mainly do lots of calls plus lots of social app, but if for social alone then imho the gx30 is better because of unlimited for everything doesn't limit to social only. But in general, for people who only value calls then yoodo rm12 is cheaper, plus better coverage than umobile too.

Its 5mbps max so should be more than enough, assuming you're in coverage area and connecting to non crowded tower.

Its actually the opposite. Their coverage have improved, got more new 4g towers built now but its their overall network quality that came to worst. Reasons being termination of 3g ran share with maxis plus more new users because of the gx30 and gx50. They're expanding but their current infra can't really cope with demands. They've got the cheapest no quota data plan afterall.

So I'm planning to buy a um prepaid sim to test um coverage and speed at my area, and if all goes well I'll port over from unifi prepaid. My question is do i need to buy another sim for the mnp process or just use the existing one I've used to test? Looking at um website, for online mnp its intructed to buy a simcard and register at the dealer, key in the new simcard number and serial at the online form, reply to existing telco mnp confirmation then use the um sim but it didn't mention anywhere whether the um sim need to be activated or not after purchase before invoking the mnp process. Its confusing.

Its unlimited only on the device with sim, hotspot only got 3gb quota.

Digi postpaid i150 and digi prepaid rm1 per day but the rm1 unlimited per day aren't widely available, only randomly given as promo offer, and speed only max upto 3mbps for both device usage and hotspot. The i150 is what you're looking for if wanna use faster speed.

Because this one is base plan and its free, meant to replace the previous power prepaid, not to replace the add ons internet plan the gx30. Can freely access all the mentioned apps/games as long as still in active period.

Anyone know if um data plan tied to credit validity or not? My gx30 still got 2 weeks to go but my credit validity will end in a week. Will i be able to continue use gx30 data after my credit validity ended?

Um throttled p2p torrent heavily. My torrent download on gx30 never reach 10kBps without vpn lol. Fun catch and mouse game. I'm paying for 3mbps so I'll be damn sure to utilize it fully.

Obviously. Theres always someone somewhere abusing the good stuff, later got limit put in for everyone. Me being an unemployed and sitting on my ass all day long watching netflix and hulu only managed to reach around 70gb per month only. On fb those ppl posting ss of using like 200gb and boasting somemore. Now all kena lol

Yes its 30days validity, doesn't tied to credit/line validity, could still use the data to the end of 30days even if validity ended.
