QUOTE(lambox105 @ Aug 21 2022, 09:35 PM) Credit card installment 0% better Or just pay for the phone in full cash Trust me you will regret now if you change to U98 P99 FUP is relaxed compared to the newer plans well the thing is its company phone. i can claim whatever that is in the bill itself. so it i got for 0% instalment from cc i can't claim the phone portion. problem with P99 is that its really expensive without the phone.

currently on P70 plan. Mainly using it for roaming purposes, thinking should I upgrade to P68 where I will have access to 15GB of roaming. For roaming, anyone have any idea if we are still able to use hotspot for the 15GB?

QUOTE(sadlyfalways @ Aug 21 2022, 10:47 AM) Has anyone tried esim online switch for umobile? I did normal mnp a few days ago but my current network accidentally blocked it so the request got cancelled Wondering if I can do mnp to esim online without needing to go there again From my experience with U Mobile, anything related to e-sim must visit store. To me this is really inconvenient and defeat the purpose of having e-sim at the first place.

I noticed that when I set my iPhone to 3G, it doesn’t go to 2G network and connect to internet It stays in the 3G network but with no internet I live in the capital with great umobile 4G here, how did they managed to keep their 3G just for calls? It’s a bit hard too because if I want to force 2G I can’t So if I don’t have 4G coverage I can’t pick 2G so won’t even have basic internet 😭

Attracted to their 5G plan. not using Iphone As usual for all telcos here, it depends on your area. From my experience few years back when using Yes 4G, the coverage is not that good, there are frequent dead spots and even straight no signal in most basement car parks and underground places, there were also times that I had full bar but calls couldn't come in, it's the worst telco for me. You can probably try ordering their free SIM to test first (if still available) before completely porting in https://firstto5g.yes.my/Register/DiscoverFT5GQUOTE(nas @ Aug 24 2022, 12:38 PM) Any issues receding TAC sms now? Just to share latest mobile data network update i been using. Notice that in terms of 4G speed between umobile, maxis, digi during high traffic area. Umobile response is much better in terms of speed especially when surfing in safari, facebook and opening an app that requires data. Eg: opening a safari to search in google.
Also i tested in terms of speed test. UMobile is easier to achieve speed 80-100mbps even on high traffic area during jam or even commercial makan makan place.
I would rank speed and response on 4G full bar same phone model. IPhone 12 Fastest to slowest: UMobile > Maxis > DiGi (all postpaid wid no speed cap)
Good job Umobile but of course coverage wise can be further improve although certain area Umobile is better den the big two telcos.

After getting bashing all the way previously... And losing quite amount of customers.... They actually realized the mistake... And upgrade their infrastructure....
Or probably because many already port out... So less people using UM at peak hours... Vs others Telco? 😁 Endless Possibilities 🤣

As somebody who regularly went outstation, here are my summary for Umobile. Went to Labuan for work, even in the somewhere kampung area, my umobile was fastest vs digi, celcom, maxis. Friends can't even MT by their Hotspot due to connection and only able to after using my U hotspot. Go to Lumut, it all 4G LTE and fast (lack of U user?). Same goes experience went north to Perlis and Kedah, last time 3G only, now all 4G LTE, fast as well, not sure if due to lack of user. This post has been edited by ayamxxx: Aug 27 2022, 06:02 AM

I have been using umobile for at least 6 - 8 years. so far i don't have any major complain on the line. even at rural areas. initial stage there was blind spot along KL-johor highway but now its all good. i do have complain celcom and digi though. I think so far umobile is offering the best value. don't like their refund process though. take the ages even though it was their mistake. also just change plan from P99 to postpaid 98...with less post hotspot..damn This post has been edited by bengang15: Aug 27 2022, 06:37 AM
