If play games the SOT is down to 2.5 - 3 hours I think. I only started play games on my daily driver since early last month lol.

Never tried dex before but I believe it's working. But I got it debloated though. The only things that won't work are Samsung pay and app lock iinm.

for battery replacement, we hust told them its draining badly

will they do some test to confirm our claim?or straight proceed with battery replacement?

btw, its eligible to all right with warranty still valid?

another possible reason for battery draining is faulty SD card. i have experienced this before. i noticed my sd card will acting weird by suddenly unmounting. then the battery started draining like crazy.

removed the sd card and replaced with another one and battery become normal again

Awhile ago I was at the Service Centre in 1 Utama and I happened to ask about battery replacement for the Note 8. He said they would have to test first to see whether it was really hardware issue or something else like software and that could take a day or 2. After that if really battery issue, replacement could take a few days depending on whether they have ready stock available.

As for warranty I think he said battery would be covered for the 1 year warranty. Not sure if he meant that only the default warranty would cover and the extended warranty (if we purchase it) doesn't cover battery anymore.

guys.. I use handphone + gimbal to video recording a lot.. Now, I'm thinking to switch to gopro because it's a bit smaller on my gimbal.

Assuming all settings similar, 4k30fps video on note 8 and gopro (linear view, not fisheye), which has better quality video? I wonder should I stick to phone, or buy a gopro..

Can sell ur wife note 8 to me for 1k ?

Well, When I was shooting video with my Note 8 in Europe with 1080p@60fps. I do occasionally get jittering and skip frame issue. Is it because the processor is incapable?

Did you set the storage to microsd card? If yes, then, that's the problem. Always store video files inside the phone, then later can transfer to microsd card..

Get the Sandisk Extreme or Extreme Pro cards, current tested WRITE speed goes up to 50Mbps via PC sdcard. It ought to be able to hit 80Mbps.

Yup, Samsung Super Amoled screens are really the best. No regrets whatsoever using them ever since the GS2 days.

I guess we have to wait patiently for the September/October firmware update to enjoy the super slow motion and AR Emoji. Nothing much can be done, until they release.

Usually these are READ speeds. Marketing BS.

Check WRITE speeds. Current bona fide highest speeds are the Sandisk Extreme and Extreme Pro series.

Sandisk Ultra series max write speeds go up to 25Mbsp only if you're lucky.

Yes, memory card write speed can cause video jitters.. If the memory card has high speed writing, the metal contact between the phone and the memory card also PROBABLY can degrade the speed.

To be safe, store the video into the phone's storage. Then, when you're free, transfer the video from the phone into the sdcard.

Anyone know is possible replace front screen cover only at SC. My screen can't fully peel off the UV glue TG bcos apply too much glue from the seller.

These AR emoji simply BS one - absolutely unable to even generate an image remotely close to actual face. Simply just a gimmick
