Get the Sandisk Extreme or Extreme Pro cards, current tested WRITE speed goes up to 50Mbps via PC sdcard. It ought to be able to hit 80Mbps.

Read the fine print.

Usually these are READ speeds. Marketing BS.

Check WRITE speeds. Current bona fide highest speeds are the Sandisk Extreme and Extreme Pro series.

Sandisk Ultra series max write speeds go up to 25Mbsp only if you're lucky.

I tried to Google, but didn't get any results that WEREN'T for Note 9.

I got a 512gb Samsung EVO card.
Here are my results for Note 8 and 2 more devices.

It works in my 6/64 Note 8. Tested read and write.
It works in my Lenovo TB-8704X and my notebook

Windows 10 file transfer speed for a 12gb file was a peak of 67mbps, even faster than my 128gb SanDisk Extreme which peaked at 55mbps.

superformance

Thanks for sharing the speed tests.
After having spent quite a bit on many microsd cards, I only buy SanDisk Extreme cards, or Extreme Pro if I can afford it (or it goes on sale).

SanDisk Ultra has crap performance, and the 200gb is an Ultra card.

512gb can be tied in to a backup strategy, where it can be used to sync with other backup drives. I have a few 512gb HDDs handling backup.

With the microsd, I can have all my stuff in my pocket.

Samsung Evo+ notworthy.gif  >>>>>>> sandisk ohmy.gif
What i worry is losing the micro sd, other ppl pick up ohmy.gif
Sandisk got several versions with different speeds & pricing. Really confusing. Samsung Evo+ really notworthy.gif  thumbup.gif

Ya. Micro sd really convenient than HDD or SSD backup. So small can carry inside my pouch rclxm9.gif

Bitlocler encryption is good but not supported by Android. I wish there is an all-platform encryption scheme.

On Android, encryption is not portable.
