Samsung SC always erase all data and update to the latest version after repair/replacement before they conduct testing.
While Samsung calls it extended warranty, battery and screen are only covered within 1st year of purchase.
Samsung warranty policy is very confusing and strange. Does it apply only to Samsung or other android brands too?

i see. how the auto brightness will cause screen burnt in? i tot burn in only happen when u are keep leaving the screen turn on with a constant display?

I am a bit lucky, as the owner told me the phone i bought has no more warranty. Then one day the screen failed me by having random touch and unresponsive touch. I try luck by going to service centre to check for warranty. They told me the warranty is under september 2019   

Ya, even Samsung pay and galaxy wearable are no longer preinstalled.

i still see the wearable after upgrade. probably i have upgraded it last week before pie is out.

i just upgraded without wiping anything. so far so good and i think it's butterly smooth as usual. still monitoring the batt performance.

should i clean install 1st before update? lol

dont think clean install is a must. However, if one has free time to do it why not? I usually didnt wipe it when performing major upgrade. So far no issue encountered. Just pay attention to google play store and galaxy store to update the apps to latest version will do. Android is no longer like the early days where a clean installation is always a must to reduce issue occur.

mine is still intact and can use, so i dunno why some people update gets removed
