Bandit, my old buy. He also was a 2004 gerbil.... also my 1st male.
Also another lost, just found the smallest red fox pup died.... skinny coz was not nursing, even I force the mom to feed, the pup didn't want to suck on the nipple.... I guess it had given up living. But the other 4 are healthy and fat. |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 15 2007, 03:31 PM) The colour I can think of if wanna breed out yellow fox again is to breed it with a nutmeg that carries the recessive red eye gene. The thing is that it's hard to find and know which is a nutmeg with Pp if you do not get from breeder lah. hmm ya lo... i also not sure what to berred also, maybe if want then just breed it in order to carry on the gene of herActually, I do have a nutmeg with Pp, the babies that I posted... but by the time it matures, I think your yellow fox is too old to breed already. RIP bandit and the red fox... hope they will happy at the rainbow bridge with others... by the way, my yuki and kioko right, whose is their parents ar ? |

Anyway, zoejehuty, Bandit is your girl's dad... but they share different moms. Nutmeg is from Summer, this female still with me. Your sp agouti was from Bubbles, who RIP 2 weeks+ ago.... |

Do you know the parents for each gerbil? That could help.... if not... most likely you will get back only blacks.... since got sp, 25% to 50% would be spotted.
If both carry the recessive red eye gene, then you may get lilacs too but if both are dominant black eyed gerbils, then I would say only blacks. |

if u do not know the background, maybe u can provide what other sibling colors u was in the tank may help. if there are no recessive gene, it will be like hun said, all will be black, n see how strong ur sp gene are to hv how many sp pup... can be all can be 1.. as theory 50% |

Oh thanks hun and foo for that info. No red eyes gene. Dam, just came back to nilai from selangor and 1 of my gerbil escaped lol. Bitting my charger, earphone and webcam's wire.
When I reached, I saw my room was a mess and 1 of it only came out. I couldn't find it anywhere so i suspect he might have ran away. Lol, but it was sleeping in my blanket. Darn, too cute to scold them. Lol |

Did it get infected already or something? neo's scent gland tumour is still there, although somehow shrunk a bit, I heard that usually it won't kill a gerbil unless they start biting at it until it gets infected.Bandit, the grandpa and greatgrandpa of so many.... |
