Ask and you shall receive. Easier for you in future should you want to upgrade to new router.
Also, you can get the pppoe password from their Twitter help desk.

Usually they don't, so ask for it or you can call CS to get it later.
If you are savvy a bit, can refer to router settings page and use Chrome - Inspect > Elements to check for the password.

Locked in hardware level due to China local laws. Every country have slightly different WiFi law. That's why all routers sold in Malaysia got MCMC sticker.

If I remember correctly, China maximum transmit power is lower as well. smile.gif

If this is the situation, meaning if I buy from those reseller from lazada/shopee/garage sale that carry grey imported set from China, it will be the same like I buy directly from taobao?

Lower transmit power, meaning lesser wifi coverage area?

What about those Asus router that are sold in SG with SG warranty? Will it have the same spec as China units?

Last but not least, how do we differentiate China sets and Malaysia/Singapore sets? Packaging?

Anyone use Bigpay for Unifi Autopay before? It charged my BP yesterday 2pm, but until now Unifi portal still did not reflect.

Usually Autopay payment takes how long to reflect in Unifi portal?

I prefer manual payments. However, relax.. Give it a day or 2 to reflect.

How long more was your Lite contract? Looks like they carry forward Ruby pack even though 30M Basic does not come with VAR pack. I wonder if thats permanent or only until the original Lite contract is over.

That shows you have the Voice STD20 pack. But others who posted show "(Free)", which yours does not. Maybe you are paying RM20 for that pack?

This plan has free calls. Once it shows "STD20" means it comes with free 600 minutes free calls to local fixed lines and mobile no.

You are right.

As for SG units, they have similar regulation so that should be fine. Main concern is only on Warranty.

Most units sold here are Malaysia unit. Avoid those unknown sellers, purchase from Asus official store.

I saw some online seller from Lazada, claims that is a 3yrs local manufacturer warranty set, AC86U for about RM1.2k. And another one with 3yrs local seller warranty, which I presumed is China set, selling at RM999.

If the difference is only RM200 for Asus MY warranty, I think is a good deal. Only problem is how to verify whether it is Asus MY warranty or not if purchase from online platform~

I heard Asus will be launching an official store for Networking products on Lazada by the end of this month and there will be some promotion as well.

Don't take my words on it, just my 2 cents. smile.gif

I bought my RT-AC86U in Lazada from one Penang seller about 2 months ago, it is RM 1000, local MY set with 3 years Asus MY warranty.
