Can you check your Wi-Fi Adapter settings there.
Did you install the correct drivers?

Thanks.

Hi Sifu here,
I am moving into a new double storey terrace house where my relative next to my door already with Unifi. I plan to share the wifi with him and share the bill monthly.
Appreciate your advise if this is possible and what are the device i need to boost the wifi signal just in case? i have heard of repeater, extender, mesh? Which is more suitable for me for my purpose?

Mesh with ethernet backhaul (connect ethernet cable from one unit to the other) since the house is just next door.

Hi Sifu-Sifu here,
My Maxis 30mbps fibre speed kept dropping randomly since early of this year and only got 5mbps on upload and download averagely whenever the speed declined happen(normally I got around 20+mbps on both UL & DL). Maxis will arrange technician visit and refund back to me after everything back to normal.
They changed a new router for me during the first time it happened. Then the problem reoccur again during MCO so I have no choice but only can wait for their further notice. After a month plus of slow internet, everything went back to normal without technician visit and Maxis claimed they fixed something from their end.
Unluckily, the speed decline haunted me again today. The technician called me and advise to change their stock router to my old custom TP-link single band router first and see how it goes(which I bought it many years ago back in my Unifi days). The speed has increased a little after the router change but only 9-10mbps. But what satisfied me is the wifi signal on my old router is much stronger than their stock router and my house is only 800sqft small
So my questions is do you guys think that upgrading to an AX router would help me from this problem or the problem is actually on the telco end?
Many thanks!

Try plug a network cable to your laptop or desktop and perform Speedtest again. Sometimes the instability could be cause by something else.

Thanks for you reply, speedtest on LAN cable remained the same as wifi test. I'm now awaiting Maxis technician to visit my house but I think they will just change a new router in the end.

AX is definitely overkill, for 30mbps AC is more than enough. Back then when I just upgraded 5mbps to 30mbps Unifi (VDSL2 copper line), I keep getting disconnections and turn out the line attenuation in my building is quite bad (not something I can control). TM eventually said they fixed it somehow but later still keep dropping connections. I changed my router to a TP-Link C6 (AC1200 speed) and it's all good ever since.

Thanks for sharing perhaps I shall change a new router as well. Maxis technician has just left. Turns out it‘s the copper line issue so they will need to rearrange another appointment with the TM. Continue the waiting game againnnnn ...

Is this normal?

The loaded latency is at 358ms! That 20X the unloaded latency.

In term of user experience, you can feel the internet speed is not stable.

So I've got a weird situation, just installed TP-link wifi mesh in my home. First few days of using it, my pc got a speed boost, speed test reaching 85 mbps, I can even go to certain websites without using VPN. But since yesterday the speed now went down to my regular 35-45 mbps and I got blocked from those certain websites again. Anybody can help explain what happened?

Hi, am having 500mbps broadband and currently using a pair of M4 with slave node located at different floor which only getting 100mbps on wifi.
If I change the main unit to M9 plus, would it improve the coverage on the slave?

Hi,
hope this is the right place to ask....

I've experienced some lag with unifi on and off, regardless daytime or night time and noticed that sometimes the data packets just drop (like when doing file downloads via chrome or firefox... and sometimes download got cut off) and this happened with LAN cable connected to laptop.
However, smartphone on wifi still working fine at that time with streaming youtube videos.

I'm on landed property linked house and area already got unifi fiber optic line for many years.
Only 3 ppl in the property r using the unifi and got 3 smartphone connected via wifi, and only 1 laptop connected with LAN, and it is connected the default Unifi wifi router that got 4 antennas.

Is it router problem? Or unifi problem? Anyone experience this issue b4?

not really, maybe you get additional 20 to 40mbps only (become 120 - 140mbps at most). more impress if you lay cat 6 cable between that 2 mesh.

After doing some more research and contacting Unifi customer service I've managed to improved my connection speed from 45 mbps download speed to 270mbps. Is it correct to say that If I changed my router to an AX/wifi6 router I will be able to improve the download speed? I have a PC with onboard wifi 6 adapter and the current router that I'm using is the old TM Dlink DIR850L router (Black cylinder). My PC is connected to the router via wifi 5ghz frequency
