QUOTE(attw @ Sep 13 2018, 11:00 AM) True, plus also 128GB seems to be the sweet spot for iPhone storage. Well, at least for me, personally yes. agreed that 128GB is a nice spot. my 256gb iphone x still have 146gb free space despite that I have took many 4k videos and high quality photos during my recent euro trip. cannot imagine the 512gb version. my only concern for big size iphone is the transfer speed. the current lighting port seems to be usb 2.0 at least for my iphone x. not sure if they have upgrade to 3.0 at least like ipad pro. if not, i cannot imagine how can one transfer data of 512gb iphone to computer. in fact, new macbook pro 2018 still come with 128gb version while iphone itself already 512gb. haha. cannot even backup a iphone nowadays for new macbook pro. |

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 13 2018, 10:15 AM) Tagged you here instead I have read somewhere prices will be within Rm3888. Thats the price of the very current flagship model with stylus from a direct competitor. I think their intention is so, to fill the void of an entry level iPhone previously helmed by the 5C and SE. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't know how to do entry level pricing |

Don't bother about the color. Everyone will use case after all. You'll only see your original iPhone colour once in a few weeks/month to clean the iPhone.

I think this phone will be the best seller this year for the iPhone
Same specs as the higher end models (minus the OLED panel which i think is not a deal breaker) and cheaper. The single camera capabilities also the same as the dual cameras |

Still undecided to get the X or the new Xr. I think I'll wait for the official RRP of the Xr while waiting for the ultimate price drop of the X for the final decision.

I cannot brain how can Apple put a 720p display in a 2019 phone. Single camera. Price would be around RM3k.

QUOTE(dino89 @ Sep 13 2018, 03:49 PM) Bcos I think they realised not many ppl using 3D touch, so was a good idea to axe it out on the "budget" model and not affect the user experience Yes, it is a correct move for them. 3D Touch have or dun have it does not affect user experience. At least Apple has given the XR all the essential hardware like Xs. It is a not bad choice for Budget users. |

QUOTE(Slyp @ Sep 14 2018, 10:44 AM) no info yet. should have 3GB minimum i guess. if they want to make the difference bigger for Xs or Xs max, they may do it. since the display has even lesser pixels than iphone 8 plus. so 3GB should be enough. anyway iOS is well optimised OS, no need so much ram also can work like charm. QUOTE(junkyman @ Sep 14 2018, 10:19 AM) Basically new naming now price drops for older models yes. but it is not actually worthwhile to buy iphone 7 or 8 now comparing to XR. the price difference vs the difference in hardware - A12 etc. it is good enough to justify for buying XR instead.1. 2018 - XR 2. 2019 - XR 2 ?? 3. 2020 - XR 3 ?? Plus with so-called 'budget' iphone, looks like better get a olders model hehe when Apple launch new model like how price drop on ip7 n ip8 no to mention XR has exact iphone X look and iphone 8 plus back. |

plan to get XR, for my iphone 6 which has been serve me well for 4 years.
If im using android at 2014, i can guarantee that it won't last till 3rd or 4th year, due to the nature android official update is based on certain phone models, where iOS releases is compatible for all devices in day 1. If I'm using android devices, there's no guarantee that my devices has the official update to the last version, i do have an android as my 2nd phone, it's really disappointing that the android 6 is the final, no official for 7, and it doesn't allow to flash, im sure u know what's the device is already. the most important that I will miss is for the touchID, i do not like using faceID due to my nature, exposing your face to Apple? no thanks. But it's apple direction, no choice. Unless get 7 or 8. regarding the LCD it's not a high priority for me, because our human eye has the max of distinguish up too 300 pixels, more than that is nothing, but need to be consider the factor of the screen size as well, optimum will be 4 inch, 300 pixels, >4 inch, high pixels required. but as for XR, due to larger screen size but doens't increase the reso/pixel, this could be a draw back. the rest i couldn't say anymore, as the matter of fact im not a apple fanboy, we all know that apple is GREAT at marketing purposes, but the greatest thing about it is the iOS itself, that's the reason why I go for it. let's wait for the XR for the look & feel then i'll decide. edit: I did pay premium (sign from telco) for my iP6 and it's brought me the 4 years of value. so what i see is what i get but interms of value, i have no complaints This post has been edited by lansi_raju: Sep 14 2018, 11:27 AM |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 14 2018, 11:09 AM) dun think so. OLED they have no choice then must use samseng only. don be delusional. a Android 720p phone selling at 3k who would want to buy it nowadays? Bad is bad, retina is outdated, it should be retina HD nowadays. this phone size is not 5inch like iphone 6, it is a whooping 6.1inch. so definitely u gonna see some pixels, believe me. And u cant even watch 1080p youtube on this phone lol.anyway the display should still be good, after all it is retina display in terms of dpi. cannot be too bad. I am not an android fans, but i cant stomach the fact that ppl lowering their standard to accept a non 1080p phone coming from Apple. It looks pity and shame. I myself is going for Xs or Xs Max, i believe that should be the standard. This Xr feels half baked. But then, if u really want a secondary phone from Apple, oh well this is a good phone to go. If not better go for X at bargain price. |

Erm not really, Apple has been using that name for ages now since iPhone 4s if im not mistaken. Just a name for their displays, doesnt mean its high res. |

CNN: This is how much money Apple makes on iPhones
https://cnn.it/2CUpE61 Msian prices are crazy more expensive vs US. Yet we see locals are willing to pay for it. Their reasons - proven eco system, smoothness , speed , app stability etc. Personally I will not pay more than rm4k for a phone even for such reasons. I had used all the IP till ip8+ ( except 5s) and yet remain unconvinced IP is more superior to other high end Androids. The only exception s it's better battery life but than isn't significantly better. This time I will go for the XR model and as usual will just be my secondary phone. My main attraction to it is solely it's 6.1 " display size |

I'm aiming for that yellow iphone Xr.
Same processor as Xs? Awesome! Slightly longer battery life than iphone 8+? Yes please. Don't care about OLED screen, I'm happy as long as it has wide colour gamut. Lower pixel count than Xs doesn't concern me either since it has the same 326 ppi as my iphone 7. As long as it's not blurer than my iphone 7, i'm good. Only single rear camera? My iphone 7 is the same. Good enough for me. That yellow iphone though....i need that yellow goodness in my life... |

QUOTE(alpha0201 @ Sep 14 2018, 06:24 PM) yellow coloured phone is very hard to come by. Especially a yellow smartphone. The coral and yellow variants do not look that nice. somehow they looks like the Colours of highlighters. And the side aluminium color does not seem to fully match the Color of the back.I was disappointed with iphone 5c pastel yellow. Now iphone xr yellow is my kind of shade of yellow QUOTE(krishtiano86 @ Sep 14 2018, 02:46 PM) I think the display cannot be that bad. if Apple dares to make the claim, it must be not bad indeed. So far from the review of XR from those YouTubers who had attended the event and who had seen both XR and Xs display both in the real, and yet they have not immediately pointed out the display of XR is poorer comparing to the OLED one. It should be ok. Apple's LCD to date are all ok since they first introduce Retina display. QUOTE(alpha0201 @ Sep 14 2018, 08:28 PM) Different folks, different strokes. Only thing matters, I like yellow iPhone xr I share your view too. The Product Red looked less attractive on the iPhone 8 as compared to the iPhone 7 previously, maybe due to the difference in finishes on glass and aluminum. Remains to be seen what it looks like on the Xr but I’m guessing more like the 8. I’m eyeing either Blue or White Honestly, I like iPhone 7 anodised red shade. If iPhone xr red resemble iPhone 8 red, l’m not really fancy it. If you like red, I’ve no problem. |

I guess we've to wait and see if Xr has different shade of red or not. Blue or white colour is nice too. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 14 2018, 04:15 PM) CNN: This is how much money Apple makes on iPhones same here, still not convinced to pay above 4k for any phone. i rather go for ipad pro instead, massive hardware, feel more worthy for my money paid. i can get anything i need as in the iphone, plus can use apple pencil. the ipad camera is very good also now, heck i even take picture and video with it.. considering the xr, but lets see.. maybe nothttps://cnn.it/2CUpE61 Msian prices are crazy more expensive vs US.

Definitely will get one for me wife. Now considering the color between Blue, Red or Yellow. Coral too plain on the bezel.

QUOTE(alpha0201 @ Sep 14 2018, 05:32 PM) I'm aiming for that yellow iphone Xr. Could be slightly blurrer than the iPhone 7 bcos although same pixel count, the screen on the Xr bigger Same processor as Xs? Everything else for the iPhone XR is great, just the screen. Have to see the screen in person only can justify whether OK or not The single lens camera still OK as this year it can do the same as the dual camera setup. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 14 2018, 06:47 PM) I think the display cannot be that bad. if Apple dares to make the claim, it must be not bad indeed. Yes agreed. 326 ppi is not bad at all. Just can’t view FHD videos as intended la.So far from the review of XR from those YouTubers who had attended the event and who had seen both XR and Xs display both in the real, and yet they have not immediately pointed out the display of XR is poorer comparing to the OLED one. It should be ok. Apple's LCD to date are all ok since they first introduce Retina display. |

So i guess for Malaysia market only got 1 physical sim slot with 1 built-in esim. Afaik only Maxis supported esim so far. Hopefully Apple inclusion of it will kickstart mainstream adoption. In this day and age there shouldn't be the need to visit brick and mortar service centers to get physical sim replacement when theres better option like the esim.

Otherwise no network allow you to set from phone to esim and remain on phone. |

If only the XR was the same size as the iPhone 7, 8. Then I wouldn’t hesitate to get it. Because then it would be smallest of the three, most single hand friendly and pocket friendly.
Now XR is like in the middle physically, best for battery, but a screen pixel density from 2 years back. On an iPhone 7 the same ppi is fine because it’s smaller in screen size. But the bigger you go the more visible it is. Sigh. I really want to get the XR. But I want the smallest physical dimensions. This post has been edited by Jason: Sep 17 2018, 09:53 PM |

Wait... ppi as the screen goes bigger doesn't change right?
I mean if its 326 ppi, means 326 pixels per inch... bigger or smaller its still the same 326 pixel per inch. So the sharpness is the same... |

For USD749, iPhone Xr screen only supports up to 720p, and with that annoying notch.
How is it worth the price? |

Btw since Apple mentioned they replace the haptic Touch with 3D, does that mean we still can use the function on app icons in home screen, or in instagram and photos app?or the haptic Touch is just for the camera shortcut in the lock screen?

XR is nice and resonable in USD, but I doubt it will be good in MYR. Last year Apple made the iPhone 8 USD699-RM3649 while we had got iPhone 7 at USD649-RM3199 on 2016. How about 2018?

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 20 2018, 08:10 AM) Iphone XR no doubt has the best battery life like last year iPhone 8 Plus. Particularly it has lesser pixels screen to drive and again it still has such big capacity battery. Quite impressive especially its size is smaller than iPhone 8 Plus. |

Many YouTubers discouraging to buy the XR simply because they felt even at us700+ Apple can easily give a 1080p display. Most felt Apple think buyers will not notice the poorer display or as some said to dupe "stupid" buyers

However, match the XR against the price of it and given this present day and age of technology(and I believe that's what some if not all those other YouTubers are saying), same is not an iDevice that anyone should buy. That said, the all important factor is...it's your money and therefore your decision to make. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 21 2018, 10:25 PM) apple fans will be willing to pay the premium for high end products. in fact, i dun think apple fans also do not want iphone to become a comodity that evert has it on hands. Hence the infamous label of “iSheeps” there are always different ranges of products for different interest groups. same like LV, hermes etc. |

By the time it's available from T&L and from Qoo10, I'll buy one for my wife. She's been asking to use my XS Max first

QUOTE(xisan @ Sep 25 2018, 09:26 AM) What color of your choice? I'm torn to Yellow or Coral. I will check MKBHD video again for his color's rating. I initially thought I wanted Blue, but after watching that MKBHD video, I decided Product {RED}, hahaha. But I have a sneaky feeling that color will be sold out in most places |

QUOTE(desreg2913 @ Sep 21 2018, 06:37 PM) the red one is so beautiful!! Yup. iPhone is known for the best LCD screen with accurate color reproduction, we definitely need to see it ourselves before judging the screen is bad for consumers.seriously doesn't matter its 720p or 1080p, as long as u can't see the different. just like now android go to 6gb and 8gb where iphone still 4gb... so why blame if 4gb ram but do better performance? that's my personal thought. anyway i hates their strategic |

XR is a great bargain phone although poor LCD display and single lens camera without vibrating sensor. Below rm3500, is still a steal

Apple LCD are best in class, of course are no match for Samsung supplied punya OLED. haha Therefore, when put side by side with iPhone X/Xs series of course OLED better.

I guess not everyone has a higher expectation for XR do like XS series. This is the price to concern for everything as what you pay.
As usual, women do not mind that advance feature, as long it is a new model new phone with new colours so and so. This post has been edited by Benefon: Sep 27 2018, 08:06 AM |

Yup, the target audiences are clear for both series. As usual, women do not mind that advance feature, as long it is a new model new phone with new colours so and so. Those have high requirements can just pay for the premium to go for xs. |

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Sep 27 2018, 10:47 PM) Yea bro, but with iPhone X used one cost the same, with stainless steel case, dual lens and OLED screen is tempting too... A12 is only 15% faster than A11 though Personal preference would be the A12 processor, plus the dual lens enabled the portrait feature but the XR able to do the same. And you get to save some bucks, maybe can replace it faster haha.I personally wanted the XR... then evil Qoo10 came up with the RM400 voucher so I pulled the trigger for XS Max 256GB This post has been edited by celciuz: Sep 27 2018, 10:54 PM |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 28 2018, 06:44 AM) iphone 8, ipad mini 2, 3 and 4 also same ppi. Can't compare that way bro, coz we typically look at iPads further away then we do our phones. Still, I don't think 326ppi is bad - especially not on an iPhone LCD!all the big ipad like ipad air 2, ipad pro all 264 ppi only. |

Bear in mind the 5S is a 5-year-old phone.Apple says the Xr will last 1.5 hours more than the 8 Plus, which means it should be the phone with the best battery life in this year's line-up. The Xs Max has a bigger physical battery capacity but it's a bigger screen and has higher resolution hence it'll need more juice. Besides, if the preorder price as reported by Soya Cincau is true then the base model will already cost upwards of RM5k, which is a lot. The XR at 3k++ is a good deal, but the current discontinued X is also still a good deal at 3k++ now. So if you need the high resolution and OLED display, hunt around for some good deals on the X, I saw some listings for about 3800 for a new one in the Garage Sale. If you're not willing to spend more than 3k then the iPhone 8 is also a good buy. Although the design is four years old and it uses the old Touch ID instead of Face ID, it's still a reliable phone and can still perform more than adequately. I've been using iPhones since iPhones 4, and I change every year, with my pre-loved phones being handed over to my wife eventually. She's currently using the iPhone X (and may I add happily) which was my last iPhone, so technically I'm "downgrading" to the Xr |

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 29 2018, 08:52 AM) I think if you've used the 5S for so long, you definitely deserve an upgrade! Bear in mind the 5S is a 5-year-old phone. Same condition here, wife's still using 5s (my pre-loved) since I'm still using 6 Plus. She didn't want the 6 Plus cause its "bulky"... and XS she worried will drop and break. So eventually will grab a XR for her when its available here, best bang for buck.Apple says the Xr will last 1.5 hours more than the 8 Plus, which means it should be the phone with the best battery life in this year's line-up. Although the specs offered by android competitors are much tempting, iphone is still really a good software/hardware experience. I dont think any android phone would have lasted me near 5 years other than iphones (im still using a 5s)This post has been edited by lingpin: Sep 29 2018, 09:53 AM |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 29 2018, 10:40 PM) iphone is the best, each model can use more than 5 years with no problem. im just thinking if actually the 326ppi on the XR would just feel like my current 5s or it will look bad since it has a bigger screen. I previously wanted to get the 8 plus before the announcement of the 2018 iphones cos i liked the screen and battery, im just not sure if 326ppi on the bigger screen would look bad or noti had used samseng nude 3 before, i will never go to non-ios device again. |

Not so certain the XR will be available for us locally by 11.11, since it only launches in first wave countries at the end of October..Of course, if you're going down that Qoo10 route... |

When buying online, check the online platform's buyer protection policy and the seller's ratings and feedback to be sure. |

Yeah, considering last year's A11 Bionic is still running circles around most Android phones out there, he latest chip from Apple will last you 4-5 years minimum. |

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Oct 1 2018, 07:33 AM) I have watched quite a few videos on the XR and tried getting some idea of what I should get but the comments section has been really toxic compared to previous years and it felt like kids at the primary school whipping out their batang to compare who has the longest one (specs) and it just feels way too annoying at this point. In the end most people that stuck onto iOS long enough won’t switch platform anyway. |

Haha, yeah, the target of the Xr is to give a more wallet friendly option for those on iPhone 6s or earlier (and there are many around the world). It’s never meant to compete against the high end Androids and even though Androids at those price points will have very high specs. Like you mention, those invested in the iOS platform won’t switch anyway. |

QUOTE(beaverknight @ Oct 1 2018, 05:43 PM) It seems like the iPhone XR is getting worldwide release on the same day 26th Oct, including Malaysia no way. During the Apple event, first wave countries are shown also. If bolehland is in the first wave, Apple bolehland website will certainly show it.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPhone_XR only way and easiest way is to get it from lion city. https://thenextweb.com/plugged/2018/09/13/n...-availablility/ |

I think at least Dec 2018 maybe bolehland will have it. I have a feel that iphone XR will somehow have high demand. Somehow there are many iPhone 6 or 6 plus people still are yet to upgrade iPhone. And there is only one choice for this price range of new iPhones. Last year still have iphone 8 and 8 plus to choose, now there is only one choice. And there are so many Colours to choose from, sure certain Colours will be much more popular and harder to get, |

QUOTE(lingpin @ Oct 1 2018, 11:15 PM) I think the XR will stay around for at least 3 years.... the pricing after 2-3 years for the XR would be fantastic for anyone that doesnt mind old tech but still wants a decent iOS experience yup for sure. if it is selling good than XS and XS Max, i am sure apple will keep it. |

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Oct 1 2018, 11:49 PM) Xs confirmed will not be called Xs the same name again sure will be new name. Normally for physical new design, Apple will use the same for as least 2 years. But I dun think there will be significant changes but confirmed will have physical change so the name sure will be different.XR there is high chance that next year will be just a speed bump or camera upgrade and certainly not a physical design change to maintain the price. |

Just getting a little impatient for the XR- I really want a new phone actually. I have a family member working in SG but he won't be able to claim the tax which is 7% so I'm not sure if I should ask him to help me buy

I have a family member working in SG but he won't be able to claim the tax which is 7% so I'm not sure if I should ask him to help me buy like that it is better for you to buy from changi airport yourself since you can claim the free tax. 7% is not little. for those working in SG, buying using telco contract is certainly a better bet. for a public pricing monthly plan of S$95.90, 64GB iphone xs will S$638. The total cost of ownership price for 2-year contract of S$2,939.60 iphone xs - S$1649 retail price. with the same plan above, if one is having corporate discount, it is only S$57.54 (after 40% discount) so the total cost of ownership price for 2-year contract = S$638 + S$57.54 x 24 = S$2018.96. then if port-over from another telco with this pricing plan can get S$200 off. total cost of ownership price for 2-year contract will be S$2018.96 - S$200 = S$1818.96. difference in price (signing 2-year contract with telco vs no-contract retail price iphone xs 64GB) = S$1818.96 - S$1649 = S$169.96. S$169.96 /24 = S$7.08 monthly for 6GB data + 1 GB (promotion - free 1 GB for 24 month) + unlimited calls and SMSes. for XR, it will be even cheaper. haha. https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/feature-app...plan-comparison This post has been edited by westlife: Oct 2 2018, 10:45 AM |

I don't think there's a 2-day stay rule though.. as long as you are flying out via Changi should be OK. |

currently using the 8plus, tempted to upgrade to XR, but at the same time the X is discounted...the new gesture based ui is quite tempting
XR - so far based on the online vids and XS reviews (that share specs with the XR) - Much improved camera (main camera) - A12 being more power efficient + better battery - 128 GB is the sweet spot - current 64GB on my 8+ is pushing it - still cheaper than the X - bigger albeit not as good screen X - more premium feeling with stainless steel - Apple's calibration of the OLED is fantastic - pocket friendly size - dual camera for zoom/better protrait Or i should just stick with my 8plus since ios12 made it soooo smooth This post has been edited by Stitchie: Oct 3 2018, 01:33 PM |

QUOTE(Stitchie @ Oct 3 2018, 12:15 PM) currently using the 8plus, tempted to upgrade to XR, but at the same time the X is discounted...the new gesture based ui is quite tempting You are in the same position as me awhile back.XR - so far based on the online vids and XS reviews (that share specs with the XR) - Much improved camera (main camera) - A12 being more power efficient + better battery - 128 GB is the sweet spot - current 64GB on my 8+ is pushing it - still cheaper than the X - bigger albeit not as good screen X - more premium feeling with stainless steel - Apple's calibration of the OLED is fantastic - pocket friendly size - dual camera for zoom/better protrait Or i should just stick with my 8plus since ios12 made it soooo smooth Just that I planned to upgrade to an Xs instead of the Xr like you. But after spending a day with the Xs and the X I couldn't feel the difference at all in real life usage. iOS 12 has made the X lightning quick and buttery smooth. You can tell that the Xs is faster though when put side by side, the difference is more apparent when running heavy apps, but average everyday social media apps like FB, whatsapp etc next to NO DIFFERENCE in load speeds. Face ID unlocks prolly a split second faster? lol So I decided to pull the trigger on a brand new X instead then will dump the money I save on an Apple Watch Series 4 when it launches in Malaysia later. The Xr will most likely be as fast as the Xs so you sort of get the idea of how fast it will be compared to the X. I have used the X for around two weeks now and:- - Ditch your 8+ lol This is the future and the way to go. I felt like I just upgraded from an ancient dinosaur phone. - Once you go OLED you never go back. This IMO is the biggest dealbreaker on the Xr. The screen on the Xr will be similar with the 8+. You will soon realize how washed out the LED screens are. no matter how good, after going OLED. I still have an iPhone 7 for work purposes and the screen, well lets just say I don't remember it looking this bad before. But its given by the company so I do not have any choice but to use it. - I don't miss touch ID one bit or the home button. I feel Face ID is better and the gestures to navigate around apps, easier. - The only thing I miss from the 8+...the excellent battery life, in which you will also get from the Xr....this is the only drawback from the X. QUOTE(Stitchie @ Oct 3 2018, 04:01 PM) Yeah it seems bezelless and gesture UI is the future, but might have to top up 1.5-2k just to upgrade Yeah, unfortunately the way Apple is pricing their phones, each upgrade is only gonna get costlier! But definitely the bezel-less designs and Face ID is the way to go.QUOTE(Slyp @ Oct 4 2018, 01:45 AM) 3GB RAM is plenty in iOS. Well, at least for me Also, I've never really appreciated 3D Touch and I think can count with two hands how many times I've used it since it was launched! |

QUOTE(westlife @ Oct 3 2018, 07:46 PM) yes, 8 plus design is already looking old now. not to mention 3 to 4 years later. Based on the 6 Plus design, this is probably the longest "similar" design from Apple... normally it changes from each big iterative. 4/4s --> 5/5s --> 6/6s, 7/7s and 8/8s.but iphone xr design will continue to look new for the next 3 to 4 years. QUOTE(Slyp @ Oct 4 2018, 01:45 AM) Using my first iPhone with 3D touch now... I guess the 3D touch only give you extra options... not really important IMO. And about the 3GB RAM, its still equivalent with the XS and XS feels smooth.QUOTE(sigheart @ Oct 4 2018, 03:26 AM) You are in the same position as me awhile back. SE is too small size for older people if you ask me. not good for eyes certainly. even now i find my SE small. it is good for photo taking due to small size but not good for daily tasks due to the limitation of the screen size. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Oct 8 2018, 03:40 PM) paying sgd300 you get 2 years extra usage as compared to iphone 7 plus. True, and also the Xr design is newer and uses Face ID instead of Touch ID, so future proofing is better.not to forget it is 32gb iphone 7 plus vs 64GB XR. the double in storage justify for the portion of $300 extra too. |

Actually one is paying more in Long run that getting the latest model. |

If this is legit, then we're looking at 3599 for the base model 64GB and 3849 for 128GB...

Been up for digging on the Pixel 3 series and actually even if people try to say that the 2018 iPhones are inferior in terms of specs, the Pixel 3 series can't do 4K 60fps and they are asking for 799USD for it. It has OLED and arguably better camera plus good software, so it's actually a debatable pricing even when compared to the XR.

I'm a fan of Google's services and their superior camera, but those aren't enough to convince me to dump the better apps and overall consistency of iOS, not to mention the far better customer support in msia

Means should be easier for support or warranty claim done through trustable third party sellers in Malaysia.Ofcourse Apple still better in the end. |

Their software is the smoothest with the fastest updates. Alot of people misunderstand Android due to using Samsung as a comparison. But i seriously changed my opinion once i experienced Nexus before. Just that Google dosent sell officially in malaysia. |

No doubt Google's phone operating on their own Android UI would be the smoothest, but I doubt the overall apps quality is up to par with iOS' simply because apps developer prefer iOS (if I'm not wrong iOS has a much more stringent requirements for developers listing their apps on the apps store)This post has been edited by Stitchie: Oct 10 2018, 02:46 PM |

I don't find it so at least for all my app ( no games) I had yet to find a good app for both my iPad n iphone 8+ for tweeter, mail, Facebook. The ones on my Androids are way way much better : tweetcaster pro, maildroid and swipe for Facebook. The tweetcaster version for Apple is simply poor in comparison. Currently using echofon , built in mail and Facebook for the iphone. I had googled and tested practically all I could find and yet to find a satisfying iOS app. Any tips is welcome for these 3 app?? Maybe not all cares about this small detail but there's a difference though It's only much more apparent in Instagram and Snapchat, I have friends who use S9 and snaps/instagram stories from their phones somehow has crappy frame rates and quality compared to my aging 5s. Other apps just seem to work just as fine. Some apps are developed using the React Native/Flutter framework which basically means it's a cross platform so there is not much difference. Apps I always use like Discord is one of the many examples of using apps developed with React Native and it runs like a charm on both platforms.QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 10 2018, 04:45 PM) I used both Android and iPhone I don't think it was about performance, more like consistencies between apps. Some support swiping from the sides to go back, some don't. Some people do prefer consistent designs between apps to feel more consistent. More like that.Seriously I don't think Apple app are better - perhaps it is for games only Apple fans always said Apple app design are better ? Two different sources have informed us that the XR will launch together with the XS/XS Max on 26th October.
Usually their info is pretty accurate when it comes to launch dates but as with any rumour, take it with a grain of salt. |

BTW any one here had purchased the XR from 11th Street with delivery by end Oct??
Was quite firm on the XR but got a very attractive offer from a Spore friend on his less than 2 weeks old 256gb XsMax . He just doesn't like it and prefers his Note 8! Guess he is like me, more of a pro Android user. He will be seeing me next week to deal. BTW he is a rich guy and willing to dispose it cheap cheap to me . He is willing at my offer price! Update you guys the price once I had finalize the deal with him. |

Ok decided to go with Xr over Xs. Much better battery life and cheaper. Sacrifice 3D for battery.

For the XR the 3D touch will be replaced by Haptic touch right.
Do you guys think that the Haptic Touch will have the exact same features as the 3D touch? It's basically the same thing but 3D touch uses pressure while Haptic uses the duration of pressing This post has been edited by 98032210: Oct 14 2018, 12:28 PM |

It's from the Apple Store app. Check your sources before accusing others of making up pages... We have better things to do.QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 16 2018, 08:46 AM) Not on the website yet bro but in the Apple Store app This post has been edited by attw: Oct 16 2018, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(virusje @ Oct 16 2018, 08:55 AM) 24 months installment won't be available on Apple online, but you can try retailers like SenQ, Harvey Norman, etc.If you're comfortable with your current Telco, then yes, by all means get a contract |

QUOTE(virusje @ Oct 16 2018, 08:55 AM) If your data usage matches the contract offer , than go aheadI know of some who signed up contract paying rm90 to rm120 a month but only use less than 50% of the data This is wasting money . You need to weigh the savings of the phone price you can get from the contract . You could get a cheaper phone but end of 24 months you are paying higher as the data was not fully well utilised |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 16 2018, 11:46 AM) good for bolehland, first time ever to get the iphone first wave as other countries. i think one thing now is that apple has enough stocks even for first wave, so stock availability is not an issue nowadays that all countries can get it quite easily. one thing to note, the price of iphone XR is actually close to rm50 cheaper than lion city. QUOTE(attw @ Oct 16 2018, 11:33 AM) me haha. considering to get the XR to replace my SE as my second phone. QUOTE(attw @ Oct 16 2018, 09:32 AM) 24 months installment won't be available on Apple online, but you can try retailers like SenQ, Harvey Norman, etc. lion city has 12-month interest free installments. If you're comfortable with your current Telco, then yes, by all means get a contract This post has been edited by westlife: Oct 16 2018, 01:10 PM |
