i think it should look ok because it is still using aluminium and glass back. the look should be as good as the current iphone 8 plus.

the price difference makes no sense for one to go for 64gb version. haha. since it is small gap as compared to 128gb.

yes. agreed that 128GB is a nice spot. my 256gb iphone x still have 146gb free space despite that I have took many 4k videos and high quality photos during my recent euro trip.

cannot imagine the 512gb version.

my only concern for big size iphone is the transfer speed. the current lighting port seems to be usb 2.0 at least for my iphone x. not sure if they have upgrade to 3.0 at least like ipad pro.

if not, i cannot imagine how can one transfer data of 512gb iphone to computer.

in fact, new macbook pro 2018 still come with 128gb version while iphone itself already 512gb. haha. cannot even backup a iphone nowadays for new macbook pro.

I cannot brain how can Apple put a 720p display in a 2019 phone. Single camera. Price would be around RM3k.

the so called "affordable" iphone can match with most of the android flagship phone in term of pricing.....i feel amazed.....

yes, the CP value is high actually.

importantly, apple did not compromise much on this phone，they still give pretty much all the important hardware of Xs to it.

price drops for older models yes. but it is not actually worthwhile to buy iphone 7 or 8 now comparing to XR. the price difference vs the difference in hardware - A12 etc. it is good enough to justify for buying XR instead.

no to mention XR has exact iphone X look and iphone 8 plus back.

during the keynote, I was shocked, iphone 2018 is more than 3k really surprise me

plan to get XR, for my iphone 6 which has been serve me well for 4 years.
If im using android at 2014, i can guarantee that it won't last till 3rd or 4th year, due to the nature android official update is based on certain phone models, where iOS releases is compatible for all devices in day 1. If I'm using android devices, there's no guarantee that my devices has the official update to the last version, i do have an android as my 2nd phone, it's really disappointing that the android 6 is the final, no official for 7, and it doesn't allow to flash, im sure u know what's the device is already.

the most important that I will miss is for the touchID, i do not like using faceID due to my nature, exposing your face to Apple? no thanks. But it's apple direction, no choice. Unless get 7 or 8.

regarding the LCD it's not a high priority for me, because our human eye has the max of distinguish up too 300 pixels, more than that is nothing, but need to be consider the factor of the screen size as well, optimum will be 4 inch, 300 pixels, >4 inch, high pixels required. but as for XR, due to larger screen size but doens't increase the reso/pixel, this could be a draw back.

the rest i couldn't say anymore, as the matter of fact im not a apple fanboy, we all know that apple is GREAT at marketing purposes, but the greatest thing about it is the iOS itself, that's the reason why I go for it.

let's wait for the XR for the look & feel then i'll decide.

edit: I did pay premium (sign from telco) for my iP6 and it's brought me the 4 years of value. so what i see is what i get but interms of value, i have no complaints

Bad is bad, retina is outdated, it should be retina HD nowadays. this phone size is not 5inch like iphone 6, it is a whooping 6.1inch. so definitely u gonna see some pixels, believe me. I am not an android fans, but i cant stomach the fact that ppl lowering their standard to accept a non 1080p phone coming from Apple. It looks pity and shame. Erm not really, Apple has been using that name for ages now since iPhone 4s if im not mistaken. Just a name for their displays, doesnt mean its high res.

The pixel per inch(ppi) is same, means the XR's 326ppi pixel size is same with ip6/7/8's 326ppi no matter screen size or resolution different. Some said pentile 1080p amoled more or less looks like this ppi.

ps I'm not saying selling 720p at rm3k is right.

If you are not an avid photographer:

1.You should compare the performance between a12 and kirin 970 first prior making your purchase.
2.IOS support lasts 5-6 years whereas Android manufacturer support ceases after 3 years.

Retina display started since iPhone 4... where >300 ppi = retina display.
