Two different sources have informed us that the XR will launch together with the XS/XS Max on 26th October.

Usually their info is pretty accurate when it comes to launch dates but as with any rumour, take it with a grain of salt.

Insiders who are getting accompanying products ready to coincide with the launch.

We were surprised to hear that too, especially since the 26th is the global launch date for the XR and there is bound to be a shortage of stock.

If only the screen was 1080p like the 7/8 Plus this would be the device to beat. Sadly I cannot live with the pixel density. The 6.1" screen is the sweet spot in terms of size.

I had an iPhone 6 when it launched and could not get used to the low resolution screen compared to the 1080p LG G2 I had at that time. Side by side, there is a clear difference when comparing the 8 to the 8 Plus.

Had a look at the XR in store today and the screen is much better than I expected. Guess for those on a budget the XR won't disappoint.

The bezels are noticeably thicker compared to the XS/XS Max which might bother some.

Just some info for all those interested in the Mous case as we get asked this question a lot!

Mous no longer bundles a free screen protector with the case and they have changed their packaging to reflect this.
Only cases purchased directly from their website will include the free screen protector.
Retail and all other channels will not include it.
