I'm a fan of Google's services and their superior camera, but those aren't enough to convince me to dump the better apps and overall consistency of iOS, not to mention the far better customer support in msia

Guys, currently im using ip8+, planning to changes to ip Xr, is the screen really downgrade? Btw I always watch youtube/netflix on my phone.

YouTube will still provide option for 1080p playback. Just like the current iPhone 6, 7 and 8 models.

im currently on 8+ as well. As it is as tempting as it is, I would refrain myself from buying the Xr. Here's why
1) 1 year old device only. Why change? Unless you have spare cash to burn
2) 8+ is the perfected iPhone with the bezels design. You are kind of like using the best bezel designed iPhone in the market.
3) 8+ have 2 cameras at the back. Xr is not able to do certain things where the 8+ is able to. Youtubers covered this. I think it says something like not able to take portrait photos anything besides human.
4) 8+ is notch free. 
5) Besides battery, chip, display reso and size, authentication type, colours and 3D touch, I see no reason to upgrade, unless #1.

I cannot brain those that insist on watching 1080p content on a handphone screen? 

Not that you can see the difference between 720p vs 1080p on such small screen as compared to a flat panel tv.

If you have been fine with 326ppi all the while on previous iPhones, the same will go with XR's screen.

I agree. I think that Verge review of the Xr puts it well. How much value do you put on your screen display? Apple says $250. So if the display is worth that additional amount of money, then the Xr is not the phone for you.

Actually those who have budget for XR 128GB at RM3849... can consider the XS 64GB HK set from T&L tomorrow, only RM3,899.

hey guys, I started to feel the wording is not as sharp as my iphone 8 especially when browsing the lowyat page. Probably due to the same resolution on bigger screen.   

Not a deal breaker though. Still can't justify to go for XS just because of the screen.

when they paid the extra for XS and XS Max, I am sure that they got no choice but to ‘make sure’ they can ‘see’ the pixels. Haha.

Worry Apple will introduce more 3D feature in the future and regretted didn’t get the Xs. I don’t care abt the oled vs led. What bugs me is the lack of 3D Touch.

Anyone here moved to Xr from an 8 Plus? How’s the screen?
