Was an Apple hater (sort of) back then and pure Android guy, coming from a Nexus 6p guy.
I hated Apple because of the price and how plain and boring the iOS is. Undeniably, I gave up on Android and planned to jump ship to iOS mainly because of how unreliable Nexus 6P was, built by Google and Huawei and none of the party was willing to address the bootloop issue plaguing the Google's flagship. I forked out 2K+ on the phone and it didnt survive a year later after the warranty expired. The phone has it issues, I had the phone exchanged after realizing the mic had some issue. The build quality is certainly not up to par and surely shouldn't have costed 2K. Again, Google nor Huawei are addressing these concerns.
I was tired and fed up. Google stopped issuing software updates for Nexus 6P this year, its stuck in Oreo forever. A phone from 2015, just mere 3 years. The phone did not age well at all. This phone was targetted at a niched market, I have fallen for it. It was the worst decision I have made, I told myself.
Looking at the options, it's clear to me that I need a change. And so, I gave in.
I got to give credits to Apple where credits are deserved. Long term software support. Reliable as in the performance never takes a dip. My sis iPhone 5 still functions well despite the terrible condition of the hardware buttons. A 6 year old phone!
My gf phone iPhone 6s released on 2015, god dammit, it works flawlessly to this day despite the cracked LCD (LOL!) It performed waaaaaay faster than my Nexus 6P which can barely play PUBG smoothly (Oh dear, please don't hate on me)
Had I bought an iPhone 6s in 2015, you wouldnt see this post. As it would still work terrific for me and I wouldn't doubt myself to invest in a new phone. (I think)
Although iOS is plain and simple, I came to a realization that owning a phone which just works and most importantly, no lag, no stutter, none of the long app loading time is beyond critical to me. Android is not bad by any means. But Apple, getting the basics right and longetivity are what I needed the most now. That was the final nail to the coffin.
I went on Lazada and bought the Xr and gotten myself 1 year extra warranty (I got super panaroid ever since). Hopefully you won't see me ranting on this forum ever again. If you do, I would most likely craft my own OS and create a new era of smartphone from scratch. Just kidding.
Apple please don't let me down. Pleaaaaaaseee
Anyways, thanks for reading and good night!
Hope you don’t get a lemon unit again.
