My advise is to click refund and let seller to dispute, at least u can “extend the Shopee guarantee” in this way..

Also, u shouldn’t click extend Shopee guarantee earlier unless the parcel shown delivered and u still didn’t receive it.. bcoz as long as the order didn’t complete, the money is still with Shopee, any dispute later still can manage by Shopee.. if the tracking still in progress, which meant still haven’t shown delivered, ur money is still with Shopee..

Agree. He should have thrown the problem back to shopee and seller. Now the risk is all his to bear.

Just update I finally received the parcel today... yesterday I highlight the delivery issue to seller again may be he help me to chase the Poslaju...

Anyway thks for advice will be more careful if next time face the same issue..

if you havent received the item, you should definitely press refund. no question about it.

shopee intentionally labels the button refund so that people are scared to click it. shopee is pretty sh*t for doing this. the button is actually a "initiate dispute mediation" button. it wont automatically give you a refund - quite far from it. it is actually quite hard to get a refund after clicking that button. lol. the button just means shopee staff need to review what has happened and work out a resolution. if you dont click it, shopee will release payment to seller and you have absolutely no buyer rights anymore.

Went to PosLaju Shah Alam this morning and try to claim my two parcels. Was told unable to do so because lots of parcels at their warehouse and will take very long time to do so. Asked me to wait another one or two weeks. Seems like I have to just the refund button in shopee.

doesnt work that way, the moment your item is already with poslaju the responsibility already passed on to PL, seller will 100% reject your refund request

I tried before during early of MCO periods that under Shopee Express. Shopee told me to do that way. Raise the issue with Seller and Shopee came in to settle.

dont cancel. ask seller to cancel if he want to cancel.

reason being if u cancel then seller wont get penalty point. if seller ownself cancel get penalty point.

Lets say i cancel from my side and dont care about the penalty point, but i click "seller that asked to cancel" (i assume got such option?), shopee is the one who will return my money to my bank account right?

The money isnt at seller yet?

Correct procedure is seller cancelling order since they cannot fulfill the order. This kind of sellers want to avoid cancellation rate penalty so they ask buyers to cancel instead, and promise fast refund to CONvince them to do so.

My take is if you really wanna buy from him/her again and wanna kasi chan, just do what was told. Otherwise if pissed off and wanna burn bridge, do the exact thing you were told against, report the seller to Shopee for asking you to cancel order. Refund process likely to be drawn out a bit but you do have the upper hand. Anyway, no guarantees that the seller will refund immediately if you follow his wish.

I thought as long as i havent click "order received", the money is held by Shopee? Shopee that will refund me, not the seller right?

Yes got that option, although im not very sure that will give penalty point to seller or not.

Yes shopee will return your money because its still hold by shopee.

Don't cancel order. Don't do anything.

The bastard seller try to void penalty, that's why he asked you to cancel order.

Your money is temporary hold by Shopee. It will be automatically cancel off and refund to you.
