Is it possible to cancel the Visa (due to SST) and apply for Barcelona? So I will end up with Barcelona + Amex.

You can cancel the VISA anytime now.
You can apply for FCB VS but whether you get it or not will be subjected to review process.

I am using this combination.
I applied visa Barcelona in August. Cancelled M2card visa early this month.

Same and Ikhwan MasterCard, so I have all three types of card from MBB.

It would be very helpful for us, if you can post your photo of your new Maybank 2 Card American Express card (with your card numbers hidden) here.

Imagine an AmEx card with the wave logo printed on it, that's all, nothing else changes. Saw it on my colleagues' renewed cards.

why beg when you can request it yourself?

i just called MBB CS for replacement

some salient points...

1) m2c amex contactless is very new, only offerred to new applications.
2) no replacement process yet for existing cardholders (similar to ikhwan mc), BUT the CS offered to replace it under "Damaged Card" reason
3) no replacement fee for this reason.
4) the current m2c amex would be locked and unusable for 7 working days. be advised! for me, no issue since the card is underused anyway.
5) existing TPs, instalment(s), balance tranfer(s) would be maintained.
6) card number maintained, expiry date maintained. CVV would be new (as it should be).
7) new card can be delivered to mailing address or maybank branch.

Useful information. I think I can also replace in The Gardens Card Centre since I did it for Ikhwan MC replacement. Will check out next week. Unusable, even online transactions as well?

I understand your opinion that there is not much tangible benefits to us users, if we get Maybank 2 Card American Express with Amex Expresspay. Yes, many merchants have chosen to disable Amex support on their credit card terminals, to avoid much higher MDR.

Among the remaining merchants who still accept American Express credit cards, how many of these merchants are willing to incur more costs to upgrade their credit card terminals to support Amex Expresspay?

Taking account of your opinion, I shall not rush out to replace my Maybank 2 Card American Express. If I need to perform some shopping errands in Mid Valley out of necessity, I may drop by Maybank Card Centre in Gardens to request for credit card replacement. Simply put, I will not purposely take the trouble to go to Maybank Card Centre in Gardens without any other purpose.

The reason for asking the photo of the card is for me to show the photo to Maybank staff in Maybank Card Centre in Gardens. Last time, when I requested for Maybank MasterCard Ikhwan Credit Card in Gardens, the Maybank staff did not understand my request and kept saying that the Maybank MasterCard Ikhwan Credit Card is a MasterCard and should not have Visa Paywave function.

Only when I showed the photo of Maybank MasterCard Ikhwan Credit Card posted by facktura (facktura's photo) to the Maybank staff, the Maybank staff finally understood my request and proceeded for credit card replacement.

In short, if I can have Maybank 2 Card American Express with Amex Expresspay, it is great for me (although there may not be any credit card terminal for me to try). If I cannot have the new card, I have no issue and I will not feel sad. Either way is fine by me.

just briefly tested reloading grabpay. still works after calling cs 24mins ago.

my guess is once it gets processed in the system, it would be blocked.

better be prepared, just in case. plan your replacement and spending.

Strange. I changed my Ikhwan MC in The Gardens too. I told them I knew MBB has started rolling out contactless cards for MC, I want to change mine to that version. Without question asked, the officer helped me to fill up a form and I collected few hours later.

As for this AmEx contactless, my colleagues also got theirs from The Gardens, so they should know about this new card. We are working in The Gardens by the way.

Yeah but if I can replace in The Gardens then no issue to get it on the same day.

Alright, it is kind of cunning to state our card as "damaged".

Well, we need to give some sort of reason to Maybank Credit Card Management, to justify our credit card replacement.

Tomorrow is Saturday, and you do not need to use your Amex card? Oh, you intent to use your BigPay Prepaid MasterCard. Good for you.

yes, that's the reason to be submitted for replacement approval, which i guess still can use now.

my card sudah maxed kawkaw cuz did agoda booking. this card underutilized and no urgent to use it.

Just now went to KFC. First payment no response but I got the SMS.

Second payment successful and received SMS.

How for the duplicate payment? Same amount same merchant?

Call CS to check.
Merchant should void the transaction.
