RM 30k @ 4% p.a. FD/CASA, reducing by RM1133.33 -> You will earn RM1501
Note 9 -> RM3599

So you lose 7200-1501-3599 = RM2100 only.

But how many PB cardholders' credit limit > RM 37500 ? 

Is it better to end the balance transfer in advance after getting the phone? Have to pay the RM 100 penalty fee instead of 3 years of 8% interest.

26. The Bank shall be entitled to debit RM100 from the Cardmember’s account for any
early settlement of the amount ahead of the instalment tenure (PB Credit Cards only).
All outstanding instalments with its respective interest/management fee for the entire
tenure shall immediately become due and payable in any early settlement. For the
avoidance of doubt, any cancellation of the Card shall be regarded as an early
settlement under the programme and the Bank shall similarly be entitled to debit the
early settlement/exit penalty of RM100 (PB Credit Cards only) from the
Cardmember’s account and shall have the right to claim and be paid with all
outstanding instalment with its respective interest/management fee for the
entire tenure, due to aforesaid reason.

Do anyone know if online transaction with oversea merchant (not in MYR currency) is considered as overseas transaction? It is not stated in T&C

recommended not to try.

we dont know exactly how PBB detect "oversea" transactions. it could be by currency type or merchant location or country of origin of the transaction.

else, you can always call CS to enquire the specific details.

Called CS and they said as long as it is charged in non-MYR currency, it is considered as oversea transaction.

Haha. I'm quite sure they know how to make some good money out of this.
I'm still trying to familiarize myself with the non-0% rate balance transfer. So correct me if I get this wrong.

When you pay $1133.33 a moon as instalment, you're already paying principal and interest for 3 years on the very first moon. Whereas for FD, even if you get the monthly interest, your principal is locked until the end of the period. I think this is what they call Effective Interest Rate. I remember I saw RHB's site also giving some BT around 4% but mention the EIR is around 15%.
