this is where unifi f's up, make people angry...

how can u, as a biz, launch rm129 100 mbps while charging others rm179 for 30mbps?

and the customer need to go see them, red tape, almost begging to get price to rm129 - same price but still 1/3 of speed.

do they not have some marketing/sales people who wud hv thought of this and voluntarily offer discount to lowest common denominator?

why is TM so f'ed up?

Tenaga, Syabas... not so bad, right?!
*
Its 30mbps for rm109 ( TM )
Or 30mbps for rm89 (maxis)

Hi wshoh, which tm point did you go to? I went to the one at Damansara utama and the cs lady told me can only change to the RM129 package with a new 24 month contract. My existing 179 30mb line (now upgraded to 50mb) is already contract free.
*
TM Point Shah Alam at Section 11. So far it seems that forummers here who successfully change to new 100 Mbps package @ RM129 monthly have their contracts renewed for 2 years.

QUOTE(yh28 @ Sep 6 2018, 07:13 PM)
Meaning just some sort like renew contract without involving termination and re-subscribe again?
*
QUOTE
tldr, I got a permanent discount of RM50 with no contract (no change to my plan and I now pay RM129 monthly before SST instead of RM179). Hopefully TM will announce some goodies for UniFi subscribers on VDSL who cannot be upgraded to 100/300/800 Mbps download speeds.

Okay, need to clear the ambiguity above. Earlier discount was RM20 (offered years ago when when upselling VIP10 which then cost RM199 monthly to VIP5 (RM149) customers) so the discount of RM50 as quoted above was actually an ADDITIONAL permanent discount.

No change to my contract, I got a further unconditional discount. I believe my bill which currently reads less RM20 will show less RM70 instead (to reflect the additional RM50 discount).

Currently I'm under RYE 2017 30 Mbps, RM159/month with Std 20, Ruby pack & ultimate pack (as the live chat said cannot remove Ruby pack, or else it will affect my discount). My contract still need another 1 year +. Can I downgrade to the RM129 100mps plan?

It seems that there's no Unifi Lite 10Mbps (for SUBB area) available anymore in TM Website. I tried to check the coverage for SUBB area, and it just hang there, nothing showed. While, for Non-Subb area, it shows Streamyx plan. Any update about SUBB plan?
*
try to access tomorrow or next 2 days as live chat and tm website seems quite slow once the news out to public

My current unifi package is 50Mbps + Unifi TV = RM179.

Can I just go ask them to change my plan to this new RM129 plan? Considering this is an upgrade for me with cheaper price!

Meanwhile I am eligible for the turbo upgrade.

Should I wait for the turbo speed, or should I just give up and go for the Rm129 package? Dilemma here....anyone is in the same boat with me? LOL....

My friend who’s paying RM149 for 100Mbps (he’s in TIME area) now telling me that he’s been granted an additional RM20 discount for the next bill onwards. He’ll be getting Turbo 800Mbps as well (not yet).

So he’s going to pay RM129 for 800Mbps bangwall.gif  vmad.gif

Same case here, I am also eligible for turbo upgrade, don't know want to give up, sign for new contract or wait for better plans from other telco and jump.

Sounds like your BTU does not support gigabit. Check 1st page, 1st post, green text, for more info and which BTU support gigabit.

Yup, choice is easy for UniFi VDSL-ers who want the cheapest and don't need to retain/use the telephone line and TV packs nor care about torrenting/p2p, just switch to Maxis to get 30Mbps for downloads and uploads at RM89.

TM unifi basic RM79 + RM30 to remove 60GB cap (which is yet to be announced officially as at 6/9/2018) at RM109 will cost RM20 more than Maxis (RM89) but you do get some TV stuff and no torrenting/p2p concerns.

Lastly, if bandwidth and speed hungry but limited by VDSL, can try luck with MaxisONE Home Fibre RM129 package (100 Mbps download / 50 Mbps upload) since they will go on best effort basis (no one here able to provide figures yet but I reckon will be 50 Mbps max for VDSL).

For me, undecided whether to stick with TM UniFi since I was given discount such that I pay RM129 for 30Mbps download / 10Mbps upload - which I can still live with.

Switching to Maxis at RM89 + paying RM25 to TM to retain phone will cost RM114 monthly, which is just RM15 savings but throws away the TV pack and gets me into a fresh 24 months contract.

I changed my previous plan 30Mbps RM200++ to Rm139 30Mbps but I didnt bother to downgrade to RM129 100Mbps because only RM10 difference got setupbox and get free upgrade to 300mbps soon hmm.gif

RM179 500Mbps vs RM129 100Mbos (no stb)

if you got extra budget then just stay to current package but if you want cut expenses then go for RM129 100mbps

Hi guys.
Last week I went to make a complaint at MCMC and finally today I was given a call that I can proceed to apply for fibre. (Previously was my house area dont have enough ports).

One question, not possible to retain my current home number +603xxxxxxxx)?
During registeration, seems like I have to select a new phone number, and cant see any option to select retain existing? Anyone of you able to retain it?
TQ.

your old phone number (copper line) can be retained FOC, no need to pay monthly rental

on top of that, you will be given another new phone line by unifi (via VoIP)
