Nurfaiz yes
XXX after i change to the new plan, does it comes with any contract?
XXX for your information, changing to new plan does not need to replace the ONU and router and dect phone
Nurfaiz yes, because for this plan RM129 100 mbps, for this term and condition, for existing customer, the contract will be refresh 2 years, but not change any device or equipment
XXX can i apply for a new rm129 plan that comes with new equipment. then i terminate my old current plan?
Nurfaiz yes can, that the another option if you want to apply the new line, but for termination, need to give notice 30 days before, within 14 days, need to pay for outstanding bill, day 31 until 35, owner need to walk in to tmpoint, return the main modem and clear for the bill
XXX okay noted. however, why need to return the main modem? (since the contract is already over)
Nurfaiz because modem is lifetime warranty, different with router and unifi tv box, 1 year, after contract, customer can keep the router and unifi tv box
Nurfaiz modem need to return , the BTU modem
Nurfaiz penalty RM500 if not return it
XXX u meant the BTU modem is ONU right?

QUOTE(jason18689 @ Sep 6 2018, 08:10 PM) Hi guys. Last week I went to make a complaint at MCMC and finally today I was given a call that I can proceed to apply for fibre. (Previously was my house area dont have enough ports). One question, not possible to retain my current home number +603xxxxxxxx)? During registeration, seems like I have to select a new phone number, and cant see any option to select retain existing? Anyone of you able to retain it? TQ. your old phone number (copper line) can be retained FOC, no need to pay monthly rental on top of that, you will be given another new phone line by unifi (via VoIP)

QUOTE(jason18689 @ Sep 6 2018, 08:26 PM) I see. Good to know that. Anyway, required to terminate my streamyx before register for unifi pro? In between, necessary to wait 30 days to avoid some kind of penalty? So troublesome if the wait is needed! i swapped to unifi 5 years ago. back then, no need to terminate streamyx. this is because unifi comes with new fiber wiring to your house(assume that you are staying in landed house), while you can retain your old copper wiring my opinion is, only terminate streamyx and your unifi installation is done so that no interruption to your internet usage after you get your unifi installed and terminate your streamyx, you will still receive 2 bills every month 1 bill for copper line - the sewa bulanan will be RM0 1 bill for unifi

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Sep 6 2018, 09:16 PM) Now the procedure is different bro. You can apply to upgrade streamyx to unifi, and upon unifi installation streamyx is automatically terminated. With this you got to migrate your phone number to unifi without need to get a new number. thanks for your information having said that, i still do prefer copper line for phone over VoIP. so far based on my experience, VoIP failed me about 3 times per year (isolated VoIP failed while unifi, unifi tv is working) moreover, if during power outage, VoIP cannot be used. while copper line can still function

QUOTE(semot @ Sep 6 2018, 09:29 PM) if switch to maxis need to pay extra RM25 for telephone line, even though not using the phone? yes. RM25 per month + SST this is because maxis and TM is not same company if u upgrade to unifi (TM company), then the rm25 rental can be waived

i got 800mbps upgrade finally
speedtest shows 600-700mbps (by using wifi). however but my family din feel any difference (there are 3 computers, 1 tvbox, 3 smartphone in the house, connected via 5ghz wifi) compared to the previous 100mbps package.
i think 100mbps is good enough for me and i will downgrade to the new rm129 plan (can save at least rm1000++ per year)
