mine is an auto, that FC to be expected, the lowest was 7 and I am never get any below than that.
Our so called besi buruk is still doing fine imo.

actually, if you calculated it manually based on your data, you should get 6.11L/100km or 16.38km/L. the highway driving helped alot.

Just drove to and fro Melaka and Perlis, about 630km a way and speed was at mostly on 110kmj to 120, 130 to 140 for a short period when overtaking the vehicles only. Petrol is roughly about RM80 a way in real consumption from point to destination point. FC showed 7.1ltr/100km.

Cheap, last weekend drove Polo Sedan 1.6 north-up to a few states, end up at Kuala Perlis then back to KL, distance 1153km used RM169, speed 140-160kmj except traffic jam. Your FC is better.

In fact I also achieved better FC with my gen2 Campro around 16km/ltr when outstation alone driving slow sailing mood, haha. In fact VW lost out the FC even with the 6AT advantage, but in long distance the rpm lower and less noisy.

it's on highway anyway, when low gear and brake are lesser in used maybe.
In my back home to Melaka, the FC was much higher a bit than before as MANY places in Perak and northern part of Selangor, PLUS closed one lane making the single lane bottleneck and the jam back to few km.

because rm50 only 24L.
persona tank is big, you sked to use until 40L pump petrol full tank.

even with 14km/L, use 40L petrol also can reach 560km mileage. but need to pay petrol rm83.20.

same fc, rm50 = 24.03L * 14km/L = 336km

make sense, right?

6.7l/100km = 14.92km/l
14.92 * 24.03 = 359km
14.92 * 42L (until fuel blink) = 626km

that is why our friend can reach perlis from melaka. (provided maintain 14.92km/L or 6.7l/100km)

get 14-15km/L for a proton car is good enough, but it's 100% driving so nothing to shout about really.

but if comparing highway driving with a 1.3L 4at saga and persona 1.6oL is a high difference. so you should be very proud of your persona. e.g saga petrol blink from kl max reach gurun.
persona from kl easily reach perlis one shot.

i think best is to judge FC based on manual recording. the meter indication might not be 100% accurate.

yes, this the best choice.

only after comparing with the manual recording can know whether the meter indication is accurate or not.

example from ckdenion himself : http://www.fuelly.com/car/proton/inspira/2...ckdenion/335829

there's nothing to worry about. you also wanna keep track an actual fc by doing manual recordings and tracking. then you gauge from there.

The best i gt is 5.8l / 100km , running on Primax 95, driving from Johor to KL. The fuel that gv the best pickup is Caltex 97 , second is BHP 97. When i use both fuel , the average FC is about 6.0 to 6.2 l / 100km ... Car is 5 yrs old, mileage is 65000km

If you check previous version of this forum, it is this normal for persona after aggressive driving, for example genting trip. It's a mechanism to prevent engine overheat... I got that after aggressive drive as well. If this fan after kill engine worries you, try let the car idle a while with air cond off after your spirited drive, switch off only you noticed fan stops blowing. It helps me to some extend. But if this happens too often despite sedated driving then get it checked ba... Sometimes it's just as simple as thermostat or radiator cap only.

I change it everytime together with brake fluid and transmission fluid requires change. Power steering rack very expensive to change. And no one repairs the oil seal anymore.

For timing belt, in service schedule got mentioned 80,000km or certain duration. But sometimes people extend it punya.. Just check with your mechanic and his/her view should be ok, IMHO.

iinm around rm70 with labour

since 5 years already, even-though low mileage 65k, did not reach 80k yet, i suggest to replace the timing belt.
