Dont just look at the outer surface. When the engine is not running, try to touch the inner surface. You will definitely feel that the inner surface is rough already.

i think best is to judge FC based on manual recording. the meter indication might not be 100% accurate.

there's nothing to worry about. you also wanna keep track an actual fc by doing manual recordings and tracking. then you gauge from there.
