QUOTE(powerwoot @ Jul 23 2019, 01:38 PM) Just drove to and fro Melaka and Perlis, about 630km a way and speed was at mostly on 110kmj to 120, 130 to 140 for a short period when overtaking the vehicles only. Petrol is roughly about RM80 a way in real consumption from point to destination point. FC showed 7.1ltr/100km. The best i gt is 5.8l / 100km , running on Primax 95, driving from Johor to KL. The fuel that gv the best pickup is Caltex 97 , second is BHP 97. When i use both fuel , the average FC is about 6.0 to 6.2 l / 100km ... Car is 5 yrs old, mileage is 65000km This post has been edited by tiptop3999: Aug 1 2019, 05:31 PM

QUOTE(inferno_17_85 @ Aug 2 2019, 08:15 AM) If you check previous version of this forum, it is this normal for persona after aggressive driving, for example genting trip. It's a mechanism to prevent engine overheat... I got that after aggressive drive as well. If this fan after kill engine worries you, try let the car idle a while with air cond off after your spirited drive, switch off only you noticed fan stops blowing. It helps me to some extend. But if this happens too often despite sedated driving then get it checked ba... Sometimes it's just as simple as thermostat or radiator cap only. I change it everytime together with brake fluid and transmission fluid requires change. Power steering rack very expensive to change. And no one repairs the oil seal anymore. For timing belt, in service schedule got mentioned 80,000km or certain duration. But sometimes people extend it punya.. Just check with your mechanic and his/her view should be ok, IMHO. Usually how much is the power steering fluid ya?

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Aug 2 2019, 02:27 PM) iinm around rm70 with labour since 5 years already, even-though low mileage 65k, did not reach 80k yet, i suggest to replace the timing belt. How many litre required for power steering fluid? I heard power steering fluid is actually atf?

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Aug 2 2019, 04:17 PM) can use special power steering fluid or ATF fluid. iinm referring to my proton saga IF use ATF fluid, use around 1L (use actual around 0.5L) gearbox oil use 4.25L, from 5 bottles, 4.25L for gearbox, then the rest i told mech to change power steering fluid using the balance. after change also got little balance. no experience for person though. so roughly, change gearbox oil (usually 40K change , change 1 shot power steering) p/s: i buy ATF fluid outside, so just pay for labour (gear box & power steering fluid change around rm30-40 i guess) I plan to do it proton SC... Not sure how much... If flush the whole system 1 litre enough?
