When sending car for alignment at tyre shop... Do I need to tell them is 2.2D variant? Or their alignment profile is the same for all 2.0, 2.5 and 2.2?

Document it and try to tahan till first 1K service. You could also take it to them and get their guy to listen to it as you drive around, to make note of it. If lucky, it's a known issue and they can make sure the replacement part or solution is available by your first service. Especially if the solution requires much time to fix or pre-order the part.

There shouldn't be a huge difference.. More importantly is to take the car to a reputable shop. They use computer systems to measure and fix.. If in doubt, some Mazda SC also can..

AFAIK.. No, it won't affect the reading cuz the system uses the windshield-mounted camera to recognize lane-markings on the road and activates at speeds above 60/65 km/h (conditions dependent). Will it affect how it works? Yep, cuz a poor alignment and balancing will mean that your car is unable to say drive straight when it should.. Tends to veer off to one side, continously forcing the LKAS to work more than normal.

Any sifu can recommend a non-slip and steady bucket/box to hold "tabao" or groceries stuff?

Hello everyone

I am a new owner of a CX-5 2.2D FWD.

Have been reading some of the posts here which is quite informative.

Can I ask - is there any form of insulation that we can do on the bonnet to reduce the knocking sound comin out of the diesel engine?

I mean, it doesn't bother me while am driving it...but when am out of the car with the engine running it's a lil annoying 😏

Any input is welcome...thank you 😀

My advice? get used to it.. Cuz as you say, NVH inside is great.. Though you could put your funds into better NVH on the inside.. So no matter what insulation you do for the engine bay, you still can't block that grill in the front for air intake and cooling. So sound will still escape from there. Be like moi, I've grown to enjoy the sound.. My SO too, says she knows when I'm around to pick her up.. Cuz she looks up expecting to see a lorry and there's none, just a sexy looking beast on the road.. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Don't need so high res as long as can see objects and not banging it during reverse.

I think Mazda's diesel engine is one of the quietest diesel engine around if not the quietest... so if you want it to be really quiet then i think you're looking for the wrong engine tbh... better get hybrid or electric engines.... 😅
