hi guys.. just received insurance renewal notice from berjaya sompo for my almost 1 year old cx-5.. want to ask, do you guys renew with berjaya or go with other insurance provider? would it be cheaper to buy direct online since it's now open market. any additional benefit to use berjaya insurance?

.. Can Google for "car boot storage box organiser".. Many options.. Can share with us when you find a decent one.. Preferably a collapsible one. Lightweight, yet rigid..

Main pro would be an easier claim.. IMO, I don't intend going with them as is for my renewal. They aren't the most honorable either. Search for better rates online, especially now got added discounts.

I'm thinking of using Etiqa Takaful once my insurance expires in Feb 2019.

Been using Etiqa for all my previous rides and so far quite happy with the price and services

Checked Allianz, Etiqa and AIG.. apparently all their rates are higher than Berjaya rates with the same insured sum. anyway, renew online at berjaya website got additional 10% discount so gonna do it directly with them instead of going through car dealer insurance renewal.

Mine's still a long way away and yeah, Etiqa is currently top of my list. Will reassess next year which company is better. Good to hear Etiqa offers decent service.

Cheaper for same is always good. Best deals only.. My advice though, don't over-insure your vehicle with Berjaya Sompo, as a pal of my recently totaled his car and they refused to honor the agreed sum clause.. Only paid market value.

that is why always go for more reputable insurance co, i.e. Allianz, Etiqa, etc. Not sure of Kurnia insurance services though, anyone could comment on this ?

Is there any Panel insurance company like Toyota provide extend their warranty to 7 years for stated Panel insurance company.

Probably end of the year for AA and Car play but no exact date.

Renewing insurance through Berjaya Sompo is better because they have some deal with Mazda. According to my colleague who claimed her insurance few months back, she got some issue claiming insurance because she bought her insurance from third party. It would have been better if the insurance was directly from Mazda.

Anyone installed dash cam (front and back) in the CX-5? Can recommend whether to DIY or get it from car workshop and have them installed it?

VS and GC is a myth and does not work. There are a lot of debate on this and there are yet to be any proof that shows it works.

I had a chit-chat with some SAs at Glenmarie while sending my car for 20k servicing.

On the power boot installation, tough luck for the older CX-5 that are without it as the SAs said they can only recommend authorise 3rd-party installers which normally comes with 2 years warranty only as compared to factory-installed which comes with 5 years warranty.

And further bummer is that they also said cannot change to 3-button keyfobs.
