Why not buy one now? The Dell monitor is pretty good, for a great price. It has a MVA panel, and reportedly it has the newer A-MVA panel which is supposed to be an improvement on current MVA tech. At RM1900.00 it's a good deal cheaper than the other comparable 24 inchers.

Get one now before TN panels take over this segment.

What's your budget first of all? All 22 inchers are TN panels - if you want something you'll be really happy with for a long time one of the other sizes would probably be better, 20" or 24".

does all the mainstream TN monitors accept analog signals from DVI only?
All of the monitors I seen from their specs are:
LG L245WP
Video Signal Type : RGB Analog
even a 24" also use DVI-Analog?

I don't think need to wait cause it's practically another revision of the original 2407WFP, it's just got a diff backlight.

Samsung don't make a 24 inch wide gamut LCD, panel so it's not S-PVA.

I'm crazy about the 24" monitor. I still remember. Last time, monitor is just RM400 to RM600. Why the heck we're now salivating over monitor that costing RM1899?? tongue.gif

Watch the attitude, buddy. First of all this is not a competition, if you wish to correct me be polite about it. I have been polite to you and I'm perfectly entitled to expect the same.

According to previous talk by our forumer, Dell dead pixel policy is minimum 7 pixels, then can exchange. But some said just inform Dell you got more than 7, then you get yours change. (Note: This method is from some forumer, I'm not sure work or not!) smile.gif

From what i learn here, having different panel might influence in different thing. For example, some panels allow a higher and wider viewing angle, thus, allowing wider range. Besides, some panels also offer better color out of the box etc..Correct me if i am wrong..

Yes, you are right. Dell have a policy of only exchanging your LCD if you have more than 7 dead pixels. However, you can of course, tell them you have alot of dead pixel (even though you only have one) and they will exchange a brand new one for you..

Dell is always been changing panels in their entry level of LCDs. Sometimes they use Samsung, LG or even Taiwanese brands. The viewing angle is actually according to TN spec which is 160deg plus/minus. Some reputable panels such as Samsung/LG-Phillips do produce closest possible to the best TN specs, and brilliant contrast and better color reproduction. But for the average eyes, its hard to see how bad is one panel compare to others just by looking at it, at least its for me, partially color blind dumb. tongue.gif

and does Dell that stupid just take in the 1 dead pixel LCD than without inspections straightaway give you a new one? unsure.gif
