Netflix confirmed only have HDR10. And the FMM icon also seems bugged, it will not display any HDR10 or HDR10+ logo. Well not sure if its bugged or its designed that way. But anyway if like me who is bothered by it, just use Movie mode since its accurate as well

btw you can try the calibration function as well.... not sure if it made my picture more accurate but I kinda prefer the colours after vs before. for QD-OLED its probably not essential but give it a try
*
I tend to believe its designed that way and I kinda like it this way and not bothered at all. Haha.

To be honest, I am really liking Tizen OS. I am not sure why everyone is bashing it. Maybe it used to better, i am not sure..

Yes I will try that function tonight.

i dont understand the hate for Tizen also honestly lol. Some say it lags after long usage but so far 6 months in everything still feels ok to me. Heck even Google TV have tons of complaints about lag

or maybe it used to be really bad and got improved with latest versions

the only cons I see is that the apps catalogue is not as big as GTV for sure, and maybe they dont get updated as often but so far my Youtube, Netflix and ATV+ app had received updates

Oh my TU7000 has it already.
GCwGTV smoother and less laggy than Tizen.
System and security updates from time to time.

Nice review. Good tv, even for a first gen QD.
Yes, the color are vibrant especially the Red,
Don't know why nexflix app in hdr are not as bright as it should be, that the reason I've changed the SM.
Now on FMM with peak brightness off.
As you have mention "Currently Not many content in 8K". That is your answer.
For my 1st choice A95L, if 💰 not a problem. Voted "Best tv for 2023" by Hdtvtest.
2nd - S95C, still an excellent choice.
3rd - S95B, (if it's still available) can save 💰 for a better sound system 😃

Is 77 inch A95L available in Malaysia? I only see 65" listed, so far. Tq

Nope, Don't think it's available for 77" A95L.

Kind of sad that Sony Malaysia are slow or just not interested to bring in the 77"A95L. Maybe our market demand aren't justify. 🤔

Hope the enthusiasts here can help - which TV brands and models offer anti-glare screens? Placement is next to balcony door so am expecting glare, which is annoying when watching during the day. Thank you.

no matter how good is the anti glare coating you are still gonna get some glare... difference is just the severity of it. Closing the curtain or blinds is a better remedy imo

anyway to answer your question, Samsung high end models 90 series and above often have pretty good anti glare properties

Thank you! I meant the TV itself, not the coating that you put on the TV. I will check out the Samsungs. Thank you!

very bright for an OLED thanks to MLA but its still based on conventional WOLED. the colour luminance is not as good as QD-OLED

still a very good TV and its a choice if you really insist on Dolby Vision (the only QD-OLED with DV so far is A95K and A95L, but someone mentioned few replies back its bugged)

Looking to purchase a 75/77 inch sometime in June/July this year, so am reading up, and am grateful to enthusiasts like you here. Glare-free (or almost) is v important to me.

I think in the end, its between Sony and Samsung, unless Panasonic swoops in with a worthy contender in the next few months.

I found the Stremio app in my Tizen app store today... immediately proceed to setup Torrentio + Real Debrid following the guide from Reddit (not sure if I can link it here since it involves jack sparrow activity). A quick google search will bring you the result anyway

Immediate impression, the app is straightforward to use and understand. But its not as smooth as the youtube or netflix app, there's some minor lag if you scroll fast and the animations are not as smooth. Still its usable and the most important thing is it works.... and it does well

To test my setup I went to search for a John Wick 4 stream with 4K HDR10+. Took few secs for the stream to start and after it does there was no buffering at all until the end of the movie (on Unifi 300mbps wifi). The image quality.... there's no QD OLED here but I'm still blown by it. And yes can confirm HDR10+ is working after checking the quick settings icon. Subtitles working fine as well

Was thinking to get a Chromecast for this but I think I'll save the money now. Also gonna cancel my Netflix subscription

Do note you also can watch without RD, but it will load and buffer much longer

That is very unfortunate.

I saw it when they revealed the TV during CES , at this point ppl are better sticking with the S90C/S95C.

Matte screen is only working well when you sit very close to the screen , or the dispersion of matte surface light is going to be very distracting .
No matter how much brighter or colorful the screen is , reduced contrast = reduced Dynamic range . Reduced Dynamic range = reduced Picture quality.

As for exactly how bad the scenario is , we will have an answer very soon as the TV is landing after Raya in MY.
