If really want to buy Shell Engine Oil, just buy the one labelled Pasaran Malaysia and ensure QR code valid.

Like I said.. It's your money your choice. I'm not stopping anyone to continue buying from that seller. There is no advice given wether to stop or continue buying from that seller either.

I don't have to proof to you anyway as I'm not first day buying/ using the same Mobil1 engine oil. So I know how to differentiate which is original or counterfeit. Even the engine oil smell is freaking different from original. Again like I said, it is solely my own experience with this seller. Your money you make your own judgement. I'm here to share my 2cents of experience only.

Oh that brings back some memories

Rightttt.. 1st of all the labelling from the bottle was already wrong. I bought 5w50 but back sticker showing 15w40. Funny as hell. Next I found out a lot of spelling mistakes! 3.6-3.7L filled only! Smell of the oil stink as hell. QR code not functioning either. I've been using the same brands for years.

Which original company will make such mistakes 😂 nuff said, I trust my own instinct and I went all the way there. The seller did not deny nor admit the authenticity of the engine oil when I raised. Refunded on the spot!

Sadly it is still rampantly happening in Malaysia. I saw there are a lot more brands in that particular warehouse. All with dodgy packaging and there's a lot more equipments like tube and so. All in a house 😂😂 which company allow such branded EO to be distributed in such condition I pun tak tau.

For now I just stick to one distributor only. No stock then I rather wait for a while until he restock. Otherwise just get from hypermarket. 100% safe and original. Been buying from tesco and giant those days when a fully synthetic shell or total EO was selling at 79-89 per bottle. Sapu the whole trolly usually. Hehe

I need to service once in every 1.5months. No harm keeping stock when there's mega promo!

I don’t know this seller selling genuine or fake but sometimes can be parallel imports
Giant ones are parallel imports with lower API but no problem using for most cars .
For my new c class and bmw I’m a bit more cautious though

New Mobil 1 are much harder to fake nowadays. A lot of identification qualities built into it. Kudos to Mobil 1 for going the extra mile

i can 99% agree that king auto is selling fake oil. my dad bought 1x honda semi sync and 1x perodua semi sync, and when i saw it, i asked how much and the prices definitely didnt make sense. i had a few original perodua oil (from SC) , straight away, the bottle outlook and quality of the sticker was a give away. Just look at the tell tale signs and you will know

Met a bunch of Singaporean bikers and they said Malaysia femes for fake oil. No one dares buy Malaysian engine oil cos always fake but those from petrol stations is safe. Even sifu David said he also takut to sell motul and femes oil cos so many fake.
