but this new myvi very reluctant to downshift to 3rd gear.. it insists to keep in the same 4th gear and struggle all the way for power..

so pulling away from 60~70km/h is slow, worst if its a gradual uphill stretch of road as well.. and also you tekan full pedal also no use, cause it doesn't wanna downshift. so all you get is noise..

Is it left in like some eco mode or something? Can try manually changing the gears and see if theres a difference.

more like permanent eco mode. cant be turned off as well.

Specs for new iRiZ already out on pauline and other auto blogs.

Looks solid until you see the safety spec with 2 airbags on the standard variants. Guess you can’t have it all when you have the price range.

Guess the Iriz wasn't all bad....the last Proton before cost-cutting extreme...

I'm just disappointed that it doesn't challenge the MyVi more...yeah, some will say it's a older model, when new model comes will have spec to spec challenge but ekceli Iriz already have a version with autonomous braking, etc when it was launched wayyy back in 2014.

I would expect with Geely's massive backing that Proton can at least bring most of the features of the active concept to reality already (5 years liao!!!);

proton still no ball to drop the punch cvt on iriz/ persona. iinm they were send lots of engineer to China (Geely) for this 2 model refreshment/facelift.

still no xenon/hid for iriz, how to fight with myvi. retain the same model cvt punch, people will stay away from it unless there are massive discount offer by proton

the iriz mc have plenty of changes/improvements, proton says. it's sincere to be honest.
