Hellooo, any of you owners sending your iriz to outside bengkel? My warranty ald over and i don't want to pay so much for ASC maintenance anymore biggrin.gif

If you have trusted workshop, go ahead...else I would advice to stay with PESC as the cost is certainly about the same, and you get assurance that the maintenance is done properly with original parts but you do have to accept the bad attitude of the SAs and the long waiting time... whistling.gif

Actually the current ASC that I frequently visit isn't bad, waiting time max is only 45min but I can't bring my own EO. Just wondering if the cost will be lower if I bring it to outside workshop only..

I'm honestly intrigued with those having 2 of the same car model. Do both really like the car so much?

Unless, she already have it before you got her or you went after her because she has one? rclxs0.gif

Hi,
I’m driving Iris 1.3 executive 2015 April model.
Is there anyone knows the solution for the engine knocking noise?
Other than knocking noise some weird metal scratching noise appear near Vvt pulley that area.
My car had been haunting me for 3 years already and went to CoSe Hicom proton HQ SC can’t even give actual comment on it.
They still give me the same answer we check first.

Can anyone please help me out?
Anyone here encounter the same issue?

Knocking was informed by CoSE that it's because of RON95... Should go away if you use RON97 because the SA said Campro is designed with use of RON97.. whistling.gif

Haven't experience "weird metal scratching noise appear near Vvt pulley" so can't comment much..

Which means there wont be any solution for it?

But dont u think its abnormal since not every car engine had the same issue?
If everyone has this problem then its merely acceptable only..
Well as an engineer should solve this issue not just say its normal and designed suitable for that certain fuel. confused.gif doh.gif

How are you going to compete with other brand of cars... No wonder everyone elder than me 20-30 years also say never believe in Proton..
Thought of giving a slight hope but turn out really hopeless.... rclxub.gif shakehead.gif

Simple solution is to use RON97... whistling.gif

Food for thought, if they are indeed so competent & capable...would they have been bought by Geely? icon_idea.gif

Try hard reset of hu. Mine initially always hang. After reset plus factory reset, now ok

new myvi takes corner better than iriz.

the low height really makes a lot of difference. even taller iriz when corner can feel the body roll like wanna turnover kinda feeling.

but in terms of cilok2 (zig zag) + driving spiritedly iriz still win hands down.

anyway i have to say this. i will take punch cvt anyday over this 4AT gearbox.

if you all say punch cvt is shit and all, the new myvi's 4AT is shittier. cant believe its actually more laggy and more underpowered in terms of acceleration. they really tuned it to be too fuel saving minded that even punch cvt with latest updates and all is actually better in terms of acceleration and noise.

and in terms of qc, proton and perodua both 2x5, 5x2, both also got rattling issues.

Myvi is like 150kg lighter than Iriz, acceleration should be quicker than Iriz.
