A new engine+GB combo is just one part in making it competitive with Myvi. They also have to consider space, practicality and feature set which the current Iriz is behind compared with the 3rd gen Myvi. So an all new model would be necessary if they want to catch those volume sales that P2 enjoyed for so long.
