well I guess there's huge backlog of complains / customers to attend to..  technician not enough time... that's why like u said.. previously.. they come & change the box. & fly away.. without checking the Satellite dish alignment.. Signal okay or not. because it's would be time consuming... to go up at the roof to check out..

as for CS... most likely many got fired already...
trying to save cost.. reduce the workforce by 20% or half... So same people does 3 person or more job  devil.gif
that's the only logical explanation I have for now....

u see even the news channel..
the normal reader missing already.. only few left.. and others channels like Go Shop & others in house astro entertainment  programs.. seems like many gone...

It's sad to know that Astro really would go to the extent of retrenching CS agents staffs while sacrificing overall customer service support.
Yet, they're hiring for someone that can help them "improve revenue"?

Revenue is more important than anything else?

What mindset are they thinking?
Is it really the case where customer service to them, is a department or job position that brings financial losses to the company?
Because they are the ones that accepts and processes account termination, assigning technicians to customer's home, and more? All these carries trouble to them, eh?
It's like, those management people is like trying to "flatten their financial curve" by trying not to accept too many termination requests in one day. dry.gif dry.gif
So they want to make the graph decline slower instead of sudden decline in a short period of time, so that they could control financially.
Hah, business......

Possible also.
But what we all know is, their customer service hotline opens at 9am to 6pm, instead of 8am to 12am previously. So in terms of their working hours, it has been reduced.

And from what I can see, they keep telling customers to always call 03-95433838. Even sending email (like a formal black & white), also tell customer to call 03-95433838.
I guess, those who tell customer to call one, are likely work from home, and they might not have full system access to customer's data, stuff like that.
Keep telling customer to call, then what's the point for having so many contact methods, from email, social media, live chat, all those things, when what customer can do is so limited??
I suspect those management people just wanna protect themselves financially, even if it could sacrifice CS service quality / experience. hmm.gif

Haih, anyhow, for those who still can watch Astro at home ones, be grateful la...
Cuz there are people out there, especially those who rely a lot on Astro as their primary source of entertainment, are having difficulty or couldn't access to Astro service as usual due to various technical problems.

not only astro reduces their the operation hours for CS hotline... Banks or Telco also same...
that day I called one Telco.. waited so long... almost like 10min+ many complains since services sucks big during MCO time devil.gif

well government encourage work from home.. so Astro as u know would follow their rules blindly brows.gif needed to survive / competitions, needed to "do many things" sweat.gif that's come with restriction too.. astro simply cannot let "outside connection" to access their server / information... it's sensitive... later someone else hack from outside how then? like maybe open up ALL channels including those Pay Per View to certain people (maybe family, friends or others). endless possibilities... Now also many cases of data leaks going on.. give free access to staff working from home? GG lorh whistling.gif

Agree,

Astro Ria should focus on variety show and local drama.
Astro Prima should be terminated or made avaialble exclusive for Njoi, I don't need a recycle bin channel.
Astro Oasis should just include Naura programmes, replace Naura with other international channes.
Astro Warna should create more contents, add international contents, instead giving free money to those recycle participants of Maharaja Hambar Mega.
Astro Citra should play variety Malay and Asian films, not repeat every two to three months. Should continue with the Citra Originals slot for limited series. Premiers should be on every weekend.

Astro Bella was a great channel tho, show international telenovelas, but yet, they refuse to update the contents. Now its terminated, and Astro still refuse to update the contents for telenovelas. Just keep repeating the already broadcast shows from the old Bella to Prima then Ria then Prima back then Ria, untill kiamat.

Yes. Astro Bella had thd potential to become a good channel if Astro add new telenovelas from Latin and dramas from Thailand and Philippines. Too bad Astro keep repeating same old dramas hence the low rating and its cessation.
