Astro bill works like this:
Today is 10 May 2020, and you receive Astro bill, dated 10 May - 9 Jun 2020.
So this bill that you need to pay, is for you to watch Astro from 10 May until 9 Jun.
By right, if you don't clear your payment by 9 Jun, usually they'll would suspend your account as soon as next day (which is 10 Jun).
Well although, sometimes it might give you 1-3 days allowance...

This Astro leh, although from the surface, it's a postpaid service. But in reality, it's like a "hybrid postpaid-prepaid" service.
It's like I issue you an invoice for you to enjoy Astro for the next 30 days, so you must pay within this 30 days.
If you didn't manage to pay up on the 30th day, your account shall be suspended on the 31st day, or anytime (maybe within 1-3 days) after the 31st day.

And on Astro, there's no such thing "minimum payment". Astro is not credit card that "allows you to pay a lower fee first, but with interests" and it's not meant for you to hutang lama lama and pay late.
Your Astro bill can still be suspended even if you don't pay the full amount.
So, pay the full amount, or more than the full amount also can. The balance will bring forward to next bill.

I think free viewing will stop on 12 May 2020. Even the free 1gb internet may stop on that date. Thinking of downgrading to basic package 42.35 per month since there is no live sport and mustika package is full of repeats.

I mean 3month didn't pay or "forgotten" 😅

I remember once I forgotten to pay Astro bill (damn busy that time).
Didn't get suspension... Until next bill comes with outstanding amount... Then only realize.. oh damn.. forgotten to pay previous month bill 😋

Why didn't you sign up for auto debit? It'll auto deduct the amount from your debit/credit card.
I use auto debit as payment method since I subscribe to Astro since loooong time ago. So you can say that I never experience those "service interruption due to forgot to pay" situations... 

You hutang Astro no use one. You eventually still have to pay. Might as well auto direct debit 

Hmm... Talking about Mustika package...
I'm just curious... As a Malay, what would you expect from Astro when it comes to Malay channels, or channels in Mustika package? 
As in what kind of programming in Malay channels you'd expect from Astro?

This is just my wishful hope:
1. Astro Ria should air new Malay variety show, reality shows, entertainment and music shows
2. Astro Prima should air Malay dramas and movies (movies after 2-3 months premiere on Citra and classic movies)
3. Astro Awani should stick to news and add other factual and documentary/magazine shows
4. Astro Oasis seems redundant with Naura since both air Islamic programmes. Naura should be replaced with other channels on Mustika Pack.
5. Astro Citra should air latest Malay and regional movies at least 6 months after their premiere on Astro First.
6. Astro Warna should add more latest contents like Comedy Central not repeating Raja Lawak & Super Spontan since 2012.

Like Warner TV.. on their socmed said free previews on various providers... But in Malaysia Astro didn't include the free previews...

Yes... Astro can't be bearing all the costs to give complimentary viewing like that. It will financially hurt them.
For sure Astro will have a serious + somehow confidential discussions with content providers and see what are the things they can work out on.

But then, how long can they provide complimentary viewing to selected channels like that?
We as customers, can't be expecting them to continue giving complimentary viewing until COVID-19 vaccine is available and every Malaysians has vaccinated with it.  :confused:

Well, for Astro Awani, of course, it's a news channel anyway....

So if compare with right now, what do you see on all Astro Malay channels?
Come, fill in the blanks 

Astro Ria = Quite decent with some new entertainment shows and drama
Astro Prima = A dustbin for programmes previously shown on Ria, Citra, Warna etc.
Astro Oasis = Quite decent with most local Islamic programmes. Should add oversea programmes.
Astro Citra = Repeats all year long. As a movie channel, it should have slots for TV premiere like HBO and Fox Movies.
Astro Warna = Repeats all year long with 1-2 new programmes on monthly basis. Most of them look low in budget and not funny.
Naura = Should not exist at all. Astro Oasis is sufficient for Islamic content.

Meanwhile, I notice there's an increase of customers complaints, where they are having difficulties in scheduling an appointment for technician to come and solve their issues (e.g. satellite dish, replace Astro box, installations/upgrade).
Either by no agents answers/long waiting on the line, or "entertain once, then nothing happens later" kind of situations.

Even if Astro commented "Please PM your details for further assistance." on customer's comments, you'll never know whether Astro will assist them accordingly as timely as possible or not.
Or, they might be just doing it for the public show; to show that the CS agents does at least commented on customer's comments.
Why I say so? Because from time to time, I would see customers comment this again "PM already, but no reply from u also..."

I know because of overwhelming response during this MCO and all, but what have they done to significantly attend every customer complaints properly to reduce backlog of complaints?
I wonder if Astro CS agents is understaffed or not working efficiently...  Cuz sometimes if their one particular department kinda screw up, it can pretty much screw up everything
