I got the latest, April version of Astro Subscription Rate Card from someone...
Turns out what surprises me is, Super Pack 3 now has the same price as all other Super Packs. Previously Super Pack 3 costs RM163/month.
Also, Super Pack 3 now includes Star Chinese Channel (ch315) without additional cost.
Waw, add stuff quietly without letting the public knows?

I don't know exactly why they do that, but I can imagine that Astro has been experience a "tough hit" from its Chinese subscribers.
What, too many Chinese subscribers complain about the change in Astro Wah Lai Toi | TVB Jade thing? Or TVB Jade air same premiere episode as Astro AOD? Or complaints of no live sports matches?
I mean look at the difference... Astro seems to try very hard to please especially those existing Super Pack 3 customers, while you don't see such drastic changes in Malay and Indian vernacular packages and pretty much other packages available.

I do wonder, does it have to do with the MCO thing? Or it was something else?
Especially the Super Pack Plus 3, damn, they got nothing else to add, so they add "200 additional cloud recording hours"?
If you got a lot of money, would that convinces you to subscribe to Super Pack Plus 3?
I can sense that Super Pack Plus is slowly getting redundant...
Seems like pretty sad case to me, but a happy case to Chinese subscribers la.

EDIT: Celestial Movies (ch309/349) is now included in Value Pack 5 (Stars Pack) as well...

Hmm seems like Hits Movies is part of Family HD pack.

Oh yeahh, now customer's can't complain that Family pack doesn't have movie channel, eh?
But then, I don't watch HITS Movies channel anyway...

Just a reminder to those earlier who was watching movie halfway then suddenly can't watch HBO and Fox Movies for free anymore:
Adoiii, Astro should close the channel after the movie airing on that channel finishes, instead of "12am times up already, movie haven't finish airing" then straightaway close.

Same only.... It's just that you'll get some extra discounts, since IPTV already bundled HD-PVR service.

200 hrs is free to all customers, and then if you're on Super Pack Plus 3, you get another extra 200 hrs lo... Total 400 hours, yes.

Are you on Super Pack Plus 3??? Maybe you wanna consider downgrade it or something?

my parents subscribe to super pack plus 3.... Cloud recording is kinda pointless for IPTV now, unless you use Astro Go 24/7?

Aiyaa... They just list down channels that is already been free all along, to make it look like they open a lot of channels for complimentary viewing.

It even shows Astro Awani logo, Astro Velithirai, CGTN all those. It's free all this while, but they still list it anyway, make it look like a lot, so that you'll be happier.

Or, they just wanna show you a whole list of news and movies channels opened for complimentary viewing, including the ones that is free under Family pack.

If your family usually don't watch much all channels included in Super Pack Plus 3, especially like RugbyPass TV, Astro Cricket, Golf Channel, all 4 mini packages and more, you can consider downgrade to just the normal Super Pack 3 to save some money. Or even Wah Pack.

Damn. Astro is not gonna like this, since the price difference is huge.... 😂

I am now paying RM42/month... Now thre is no more this package for 42?

I plan to cut Astro for a while.. if I reconnect, need to pick the higher price package already?

If for normal pack(no IPTV) yup, kinda... add up to roughly rm141

but Astro could literally say "we have a special deal with you but you'll need to sign a contract for 24 months" then from behind, switch over from IPTV to astro&broadband?

To downgrade you'll need to contact them by phone, so it should the same for terminating Astro.... You can't terminate astro during MCO though

Your package shall remain as it is, even if you reconnect it. You said RM42/month. Sounds like you're on Family pack (RM39.95/month + 6% SST) to me.
Customers cannot suspend/terminate Astro accounts until MCO is lifted? Why? According to Astro, it's due to "limited access to system during the Movement Control Order period. "
Family pack is the most basic package on Astro.
Btw why you wanna suspend your Astro service? Financial issues?

That's the "customer retention specialist" talking to you. They twist here and there to make you stay and continue pay more.

Yes mine is 39++ /month.. but I can't remember the package name already. I see from above shared packages.. seems my package is not there anymore, so worry if i re connect Astro.. i need to select more expensive one.

Reason I cant to cut is because I dont watch Astro anymore since I subscribe nextflix. I only maintaining it because of local news.. I see during this MCO perios almost 2 months, I didnt watch Astro. Another reason is when my mother is here, just let he watch news and switching around the channels. Now that my mom is at hometown, I dont see her coming to KL anytime soon.. so thinking of cut Astro
