Depends on the area and hour you work but also depend on the driver + Grab system. Last Saturday I manage to score RM100 incen only from 9am to 3pm and suddenly for sunday, grab start throwing me all Rm20 and above fares (just to make sure I dun earn anymore incen). I'm sure the place I camp got bilis but no. Did you encountered similar experience? |

(but let me go thru the week first before I jump to a hypothesis haha)The first week of puasa have many challenges and trophies. From surges, raining, buka puasa and KLIA red dot most of the time. I'm sure the place I camp got bilis but no. Did you encountered similar experience? for once, traffic jams is a sure thing in kl, nothing new bout that. but ping seems to be a bit lesser now. I noticed I got more ping going to kl from outside kl, than from inside kl to elsewhere... but then again, due to bad experience on saturday, when despite nothing happening, kl is packed and jammed all day, I decided Im gonna try my best to avoid kl temporarily. and another thing, because muslims woke up super early during fasting month, expect traffic jams as early as 6am. From where I live, I can see the highway clearly cuz my room is facing it, and I noticed the volume of cars entering highway to go to KL is super crazy, too early in the morning... to day I actually decided to start work late because of that, from 9am instead of 7am lol I dunno about you guys, but I think the ping from inside KL might be slightly less frequent atm during fasting month, probably cuz the muslims arent going out to eat. I talked with some office workers, they told me their muslims colleague just find someplace to rest and have an afternoon siesta instead. regarding the KLIA thing, I only noticed the red dots on it today! I noticed its been red most of the time, peak hour or not. I wonder why... so far, the only thing I have planned to change is if im gonna take jobs from KL, I make sure the final hour Im still in KL is 2pm the latest. after that Im gonna prowl around the outskirts for those short trips, then finally head to area closer to seri kembangan where i live. and only take jobs from there afterward (or depending on income, stop for the day and prowl pasar ramadhan hehe) but for now, give me the whole week to learn the pattern hehe. Ive only got till the 8th to work and collect funds, after that ill go back to my hometown in Kuching until after raya to celebrate in any case, Ill keep updating latest finds in here~ please share useful info too if you discover anything ya? we still need as much help as possible haha |

QUOTE(akools @ May 22 2018, 09:52 AM) Hi all, The best and fastest is thru an Alpha. In my case it was 24 hours. First get ready all your documents, submit to the alpha. Answer 20 questions online after viewing tutorial and within 24 hours can start driving. I submitted my documents and answered the online questions on Sunday and by Monday I started driving. All done online and by phone and whatsapp. I've never met him in person. Glad I stumbled on to this thread, quite inspiring read. I lost my job at the ripe old age of 52, sigh. Can seniors here please advise best way to register to drive for GRAB..? I read either register direct with Grab, or Ambassador or Alpha driver? Which is best, hassle free and fastest can start driving? Appreciate any advise. TQ. Anybody can register but the trick is to get the right amount of support via the unofficial line not CS. An Alpha should have a whatsapp group for his downline, from there we help each other and share all things about grab. I am satisfied with my alpha. Either he or the others will answer all my question and settle my fears about driving grab in the first week. |

QUOTE(Artak @ May 21 2018, 06:15 PM) I promise to do that! but at same time can you guys please share helpful tips and good experience as well? that would benefit everyone as well Your thread is fast becoming the refer all by newbie. Your story is inspirational to others. I must admit the first time I read your thread title, I was thinking that you, TS, is asking how to get tips (as in money) from the riders. After a few post from TS only then I realize not Tips (money) but Tips as in how to grab. I think you learned all the basic of Grab already. The advanced level is next but its involved a bit of trickery, a bit of bending rules but not break and a bit of creative solving method. I hope TS can cope with the sudden fame and brand new title "SIFU"... Hehehe... |

to TS, since now is fasting month, patterns are ever changing.
if conditions are to mimic last year's fasting month, these should happen soon: 1) drivers gantung kunci (take short leave) to prepare for Raya, thus more demand, more high fare. especially true during 3rd & 4th week of fasting. 2) school holiday starts 9th June onwards. plan your drive. 3) higher number of people going towards KLIA from 9th June, peaking 3-4 days before Raya itself. or at the very least, people heading towards KL Sentral or TBS. 4) you might get jobs towards SOGO/Jalan TAR/Kenanga etc from 3rd week fasting. it might be heaven or hell, trying to get in/out of the area. Let experience guide you on this. btw, I'm only a part-time. doing Grab on weekends, or public holidays. but still, I can still earn HG since I still comply with the requirements to earn incentive |

QUOTE(keretapir @ May 22 2018, 11:49 AM) to TS, since now is fasting month, patterns are ever changing. I still remember exactly on the Raya day, within 5 hours I get RM400 gross fare. Fare are around 30-50+ per trip. if conditions are to mimic last year's fasting month, these should happen soon: 1) drivers gantung kunci (take short leave) to prepare for Raya, thus more demand, more high fare. especially true during 3rd & 4th week of fasting. Too bad this Raya I have things to do, unable to drives. |

QUOTE(Fman @ May 21 2018, 07:08 PM) wew nice story you had. i've read them all since i also being fired last month and jobless for 1+month Think carefully before u enter this, One month rental would cost u 1600-1800, house rental 300-400. That two will cost u 2000 at least.now im eyeing on doing grab. but didnt have any car. so im looking to rent first. what you think? im looking for bezza or myvi. maybe cost about 400-450 per week. is it worth it? i try to do grab at usj21 area. since i can rent at there (friends house). For a full timer, one can earn maybe 1.5k net per week, depending on the hours u drive. But then u must remember one thing, u can face suspension by Grab anytime if u violate the rules, there is no security on this job. |

QUOTE(Artak @ May 22 2018, 02:49 PM) Register another phone number and car in your hometown. Every cities have different challenges. JB, Melaka, Kuantan, KV, Seremban and your hometown Kuching, and all other cities, different incen structure. Who knows you can earn more in Kuching than in KV. You can be Kuching HG KING there... Haha... As long as you have the basic in HG incen earning, You can score in any other cities provided you regis in that city too. |

QUOTE(propusers @ May 24 2018, 08:49 AM) grab drivers, do you all have any benchmark for earning like how many gross earning per km drove in a day? my own record for your reference.is $0.80 per km drive achievable? Location - Penang, Kayuh time - 5-8PM , started at 89KM and reach home 163KM, 74KM traveled for 3 hours kayuh. Penang is also having massive jam after working hours which fall on my kayuh time, so averagely i will only able to complete 2 trips per hour, rare but some times 3 trips within the block. 2HP and 1UP for 5-8pm, completed 7 trips with fare RM65 + Incentive RM32 = RM97 Gross for 3 hours job -25% and the final amount i take home is about RM72.75, roughly 98cents / KM for my case. 1 liter of petrol can allow me to travel about 12KM according to my car's odometer, so i assume the petrol consumption 74KM/12KM = 6.16L x RM2.20 (today's petrol price per liter) = RM13.55 RM72.75-RM13.55 = RM59~ not included car maintenance and Tyre usage. hope it helps |
