8800GTS is a must, 8600GTS is when you can get around RM650 and below which is impossible though, unless it's second hand... IMO, 8800GTS is the best card, base on performance/price ratio thumbup.gif

450W true power is ok, 450W cap itik PSU is no-no... icon_idea.gif, no offense, but that's the truth, better be safe than sorry... icon_idea.gif, IMO, get 500W true power, like Enermax, Silverstone, FSP, OCZ, or any other reputable brand... icon_idea.gif

@sniper69, yea, bad artifacts. Not sure whats the main cause though.Already sent it for RMA for 1 month but still no news on when it is coming back.Guess i need to spend on a new one. Already planned to get the 8600GT/GTS this week but the news about the launch of the X2600XT delayed my plan. I wish its either the 2600XT will perform better or at least drop the price for the GTS..

Check out the other ATI thread. People are talking about it there. Information have been released on Sapphire and Gecube website featuring the same 128bit but on DDR4 which makes me wonder how they perform. I need a price war to drop these 8series price. Come on ATI, drop the 8800GTS to below RM900..lol..

Why boss?? Planning to take one?? I'm planning to take one Galaxy 8800GTS if 2900XT performance for the several weeks fail to impress me. Am waiting eagerly on how 2900XT can perform... with new drivers...

IMO, the price for 8800GTS 320MB is going to be dropped like below RM1000, RM900 is thumbup.gif, i must say... X2600XT? i hope ATi already solved the driver issue... haih, ATi always with this problem... driver, driver, driver... tongue.gif

Well, i am putting my eyes open just in case i get a good deal. The 320MB 8800GTS is always to in my list of wanted GC but to be honest, i couldnt really afford it. My salary will be coming around this week so i guess i wanted to wait and see how thing goes first..

Yea, i am eagerly waiting for it to drop below the 1k mark. Any brand will do it for me. The reason i am not making my move now is of course, no money, and to be frank, i wanted to see the performance of the X2600series first. To see how good they are in performance and in the same time, hopefully it will bring down the price of the GTS somemore..Anyway, i will give it another week or two first before i totally make my move...Need something good to power up my 22incher..

I get 9110 for 06. Specs as follows:

e4300@3ghz(333*9)
2x1GB DDR667
Gigabyte DS3
8800GTS 640MB stock speed

I'm on 535W Enermax FMA II. The Ampere rating is 22A for each 12V rail. Its enough to power the machine I'm using. There's also a 460W one which has almost identical Ampere rating, much cheaper also
