The funny thing here is that you can buy a 7600 XT for the same price as the B580 (RM1.6K), effectively killing the value standpoint for the card

Not many sellers for B580. Dotetech is scalping many things. Not just B580. MSRP for B580 is USD 250. Should be RM1300 max for base model.

Considering it's practically vaporware elsewhere, I seriously don't think you can buy one at that pricing soon

Yeah, just because they listed the price doesn’t mean they have it in stock, try check with the salesperson if there's any stock available, more importantly if they're willing to sell individual units. Tell you, I did an extensive check on stock availability. Gamerock and Zotac are among the top-selling brands because they're relatively much cheaper than Asus and Gigabyte. They’re gone the moment they hit the shelves, especially for Gamerock, practically nonexistent in most of the shops, if you do find one it's probably selling at a scalper price to over RM13K++. How do i know? because i have asked before.

Yeah, these type of things usually sold out almost immediately when it hits the lowest price anyway.

Indeed, even though I bought nvidia gpu from Dotatech, I also believe Dotatech is scalping stuff.

Disappointed since I often bought stuff from them.

in prep for gta 6 which probably for another 2/3 years for pc release. i dont think my 8700k+1080ti can hold up anymore

If it's for GTA6, best you wait till it's out on PC. Most probably the requirements for it will be insane.

If you buy now, you're already 2-3 generations behind when GTA comes out. I'd wait if that's what you want to play. But again, looking at the current 2nd hand market price, you're not going to lose much if you buy now and sell the 50 series later.

You shouldnt be using high res textures for 1080P gaming anyways. Its like trying to race a Toyota in F1, why try to kill the hardware and then blame it for not performing well?

Dotatech scalp kaw kaw. I'd avoid buying via their website. Go shopee and you can get it at normal price/lower with vouchers. I got my Deepcool PN750M at 412 of 480.

If the game is made for ps5 or xbox series x. Surely a mid range pc to date can run it.

DDR5 6000 CL30 is the sweet spot of Ryzen processors, the demand is high, why do manufacturers want to cut the price?
