My shoes and socks today as well WTF!
[attachmentid=10447771]

Is it hypocritical if I don't want to pay the GMK tax when my shoes cost more than any GMK set?

nope. it's just individual decisions in terms of priority smile.gif

tbh, i'm glad that i got c3 stabs. due to my limited stock, i just use them for space bar mainly haha

it's a kit with aluminum case that supports sandwich plate mount, and the firmware on the pcb is ps2avrgb.
thankyou

Hi Guys, I'm not too sure if the switch is having issue or user problem.

Last year OCT, I did my very first mechanical KB purchase and it was Ducky One 2 SF MX Brown.

It's just coming to the 5th month and I noticed the letter "R" having issue like single press would result with 'rr' and sometimes if I press r -> e -> t i may end up with 'rert'.

I'm quite annoyed by this issue because my work do not allow me to keep having typo error in the command.

Would like to ask is this a common issue with mechanical keyboard? and also, anyway to have a quick fix instead of ending back for warranty?

--------------------------------------

Just did some Google and apparently it seems to be quite a common issue... Wonder how troublesome is it to send it back for warranty...

It's called chatter. You can google around for solutions, but I think most involve desoldering the switch.

key chattering is relatively common for cherry mx style switches, which is depending on its surroundings. there are several causes, with the most common being dust is getting in the way. usually you can just press down the stem, blow air into switch for few times until it's fine again.

yes you should make use of the warranty service. this is because it's possible that there are other rarer cases which are pcb-related also. you should can try air blowing method above to see if it fixed the issue. if not, go ahead, and get a replacement unit with warranty.

no idea on claiming warranty. never had a chance to do it yet.

Hello... anybody using iKBC CD87BT? Would like to ask whether the keyboard drains the battery way to fast when on BT connection?

Hence, would like to hear from user's feedback.

Thanks!

Hm i think we should pin about Corona virus on the first post, especially during this time.

Because lets face it, your keyboard is most likely to be one of the main culprits for being unclean. it's a fact. You have to clean your keyboard every now and then.

especially now that Corona is a big concern, everybody needs to be more diligent with hygiene.

droplets from coughing, sneezing.... ALSO in regards to keyboards, also surfaces ohmy.gif

Wash your hands before and after using keyboard. Clean your keyboard every now and then.

For me i pluck out the keycaps, put them in a bucket with soapy detergent water for an hour, then take out to dry. to put back together, i had already taken a picture of the original layout so i know what goes where.

Or perhaps some people use a spray cleaner instead? hmm.gif

some guides and tips for cleaning MKB

also practise social distancing, or more accurately physical distancing. Well if you are at home, you can do a couple of activities using your pc and keyboard to go play Warzone, or the newly released Doom Eternal. And if you wait for next month, you can play Final Fantasy 7 Remake on the PS4 thumbup.gif

hi im using cd108bt. but im rarely on bt bcoz its sucks.
i notice when using bt, the 3 indicator light doesnt works as it should. instead just showing lights on scroll/bt which mean im on bt. numlock and capslock dont work normally as it shud.
another thing i notice is when im on mac(on cable) again the indicator lights dont lit up at all. even when i hit caps lock. it make my letters CAPS, but the indicator just wont show. i dunno weather this is kibod prob or mac prob. rarely on mac, just once awhile coz waifu owns the mac. i dont even own a pc/laptop just lots of kibod. lol
but to be fair, typing experience is ok on bt if u want quick connection or connecting to a tab/ipad. but for gaming, it lacks like hell and sometime feel like u lose connection. so i just be safe and use cable all the time.

all in all, i got this kibod for free, so not much grudge to it.
and again, i rarely on it and most of the time use it when doing paperwork with lots of number only. since its a fullsize with numpad.

hope this helps?

edit : owh regarding the batt, sorry cant help much. since im not on often. how long have u use making u feel it drains batt fast?

Hey, thanks for your feedback.

I have just started using CD87BT and it is my first mechanical keyboard.

I have tried using BT mode (with new set of alkaline batteries) in the morning, and by 4th hour or so, the "Scroll BT" indicator started to blink whenever I press a key. By then, it won't response to any input and the indicator just keep blinking whenever I press a key.

So I am not sure if batteries are dead or something else. The instruction manual said ""it is on low voltage" hmm.gif

thats pretty fast.
reconnecting it will yield same result?

do u use it for 4hours straight or...?
bcoz last time when i use it with bt, it does not drain that fast. i can last 2 dota games(playing w bots) and continue using for browsing for hours. still not showing any low voltage.

maybe u need to ask back ikbc or ur seller.

Did a quick experiment with a rotary tool and some polishing compound. This has some potential!

Thanks @niakulah @horns for the feedback...

I'm not sure what happened. the issue started to disappear since late evening last night...

I'm still in the middle of testing and hopefully everything is alright!

I'm not sure how did the dust got into those switches so quickly as the keyboard is always on protective cover when it's not in used.

Anyway, thanks for the quick feedback!

it's.. magic haha!

it's ok if it's just dust. worst comes to worst, just replace the switch.
