there is this hype about 'crystal burgundy'. the idea is just mix the sliders from kailh pro burgundy, and normal/clear housings from any other brands, then lube them with thick lube. they claimed this one as the 'holy panda' of linear switches.

my two cents: first of all, it's a hype. like what's said in the article, it's about individual preferences.
what i learned from this is in the details: stems from kailh pro burgundy has a thinner but longer pillar/pole, compared to other stems. it makes bottom-out sound relatively louder. this was also why my tray-mount build with thick-lubed kailh pro burgundy in its stock housings sounds louder compared to other builds.
i have both switches. all i can tell you is that both are good switches on their own, after proper tuning. use low-viscous/thin lube to maximize smoothness.
yip .... switch lubing and spring upgrade to some say insane 160g springs.... but i love it.... xD
in addition wanted to add foam on the back of the keyboard and change the stabliser to a different different sorts .... but it not easy as it seems as u need to bend some pin on the board to change the stabliser .... ended up .... let it rest for a while xD

Whoa! I thought I was heavy handed. I enjoy my Aliaz with 80g. Had a 100g in a tester but thought it was a bit too much. But you do you man.
What kind of stabs did you get? I would have thought that tecware uses plate mount stabs that should be quite easy to remove?

Initially that the same thought I have as well, until I tooked off every screws on the board... then only to find out there are 2 pins on the plate that is bend and hooked to tonthe pcb board. And also the stabs rods it mounted between pcb board and front plate. Anyway what stopping for now is warranty.... just wait till next service time .... i will try to unbend the pin (pray it dont break off) and change the stab. The stab I chosen is transparent type.... goes well with the looks of Kailh Speed switches.
As for me way of typing behavior.... i would i was trained using an ancient typewriter.... which is almost the pressure of 150g lol.... people use to tell me dont kill your laptop keyboard.... lol....

160g is very heavy, to me. i have tried 120g before. it's not comfortable as i usually touch typing.

The Tecware uses standard plate-mount stabilisers, you can swap the stabs without removing the plate/top chassis, just need to remove the switch.
what about those odd looking emoji keycaps? are those dye sublimated too ? cause if so that would be very impressive indeed. I myself use both doubleshots and dye sublimated keycaps, so i am quite familiar with these kind of quality keycaps (they are good )
On a separate note, probly bit late but we started this MKB club back in 2010. Now already 2020 ...... we've come a long way. MKB scene is going strong to my surprise
Still using my cherry mx brown and still satisfied

10 years is indeed a long way
this is nice. a few years later your brown can also be considered as vintage already
well the technology for flat screen digital keyboard does have some form of tactile feedback. but still, i'd prefer mechanical switches if that were an option. and if it were a modular component, probably the ability to move it from an old model to new model.

Wish it was BOW though. Don't like how obvious shine can be on black.
it's a base set with a better price to experience gmk's qualities.
first of all, key shine is a common thing. it just take longer time to build up for pbt compared to abs. (there are people who can make new pbt caps shine in a week or two) even though gmk sets, most probably due to additional surface treatment, builds key shine at a relatively slower rate, eventually they will have that.
key shine is not my concern anymore. their effects on typing experience (e.g. profile, typing feel, sound profile) have take over in terms of priority.

Shine is inevitable. Unless you can make it uniform on all keys, shine on black is particularly ugly to me. That's why I would have preferred it to be BOW instead of WOB.
Of course some of my keys will always shine - my stainless steel arrow keys. Lol.

I was just taking off all my keycaps on the xd24 cospad to see how in the world I am getting a subtle backlight even with all LEDs on the bottom of the PCB. Turns out it's because the tempered glass/stalinite bottom of the case reflect quite a bit of light back up. That is the main difference with my main board xd84 pro which is in a full plastic case.
Here I was admiring my pretty pink and purple board when I get an email from zfrontier that says they're releasing stock for GMK Vaporwave (among others) midnight tonight!
Is this fate? RIP wallet.

My shoes and socks today as well WTF!
Is it hypocritical if I don't want to pay the GMK tax when my shoes cost more than any GMK set?
