Hail All Sifus,

I seeking an quest on the possibilities on the existence of a Mech Keyboard TKL version that uses Cherry MX Green switch with Side Printed Keycaps. Been searching for such keyboard but it seems more like a myth and fiction rather than a reality.
Does any of the Sifus here encountered such product with available stock and does burst the wallet bubbles?

Regard,

Knight

Oh well.... after long long struggles to get me self a mech keyboard with whether to custom or premade .... finally have decided and pulled the trigger on Tecware Phantom Elite TKL .... with Kailh Speed Bronze switch .... after this .... my search for Cherry MX Green (3 pin) and Side Printed Key caps begins ....
Building a custom keyboard would be me next holly grail .... but need to find a PCB that can support dual spacebar configuration and TKL design .... and potentially usb-c .... hence this part need to go for a deep search .... bonus if could get it setup in ergonomic layout .... hahaha.... asking too much ?? maybe....

tecware phantom elite tkl is less optimal at its stock configurations. you should use it for a while first, then start plan tuning it.

The only customisation i am aftering now was actually .... Ninja/Side Printed Keycaps....

haha if you liked it then keep it. personal preferences dictate everything in this hobby, so as long as you like it then it's all good. the same applies to your cherry mx green question.

the main point of mkb modding is always to find the right combinations to fit your own preferences the most. for this you only need your own approvals.
*
to me it more of pocket approval .... lol.... but just wondering as anyone manage to change the spring on KAILH Speed Bronze switches.

150g is a bit extreme, but if I was using a speed switch I might do the same. Well maybe not 150, maybe 100g. 80-100g is my sweet spot for spacebars in order not to accidentally actuate it. Since speed switches actuate sooner, I might consider 150. Would probably put o-rings as well to reduce total travel.

I have no idea about lubing clickies. I use my keeb in an office and have never considered clickies.

Yip .... part of those stuff i purchased was O-Rings, 150g Springs, Ninja pbt keycaps.... and a switch opener.... will post pictures once those are in....

it follows standard layout, so the stabilizer sizes for modifiers and space bar are the same as the standard layout, which are 2u for modifiers and 6.25u for space bar.

it uses plate-mount stabilizers.
yes, on paper everything is right. it's better to wait for them to populate first.
*
10q boss.... now i go order transparent stablizer =X

As for the new Cherry Switch.... doesnt this look familiar ..... Kailh Box Switch??

I probably just aim for TKL for this round as they are more option I can choose from. I found a used Durgod K320 at a reasonable price.. Currently my choice is between Durgod K320 and the IKBC CD87. Durgod used at around rm 250, IKBC new for Rm289. Which will be the better choice? tongue.gif
If I decided to play along in the future, I may pursue in finding my ideal 75%.... at the moment, I can't wait as I have no keyboard to use sweat.gif
Thanks for the recommendation.  I looked into tecware phantom, it definitely is affordable option but I really don't like the "look" of it..  sweat.gif I hope to get one that I like, and can use it for a long time... Hopefully I won't get trap into this endless searching for the "endgame" ...  whistling.gif
But..for tecware phantom elite, it means it is possible for me to swap all the switches & keycap in the future? They are using Gateron switches which I have not learn about them yet.. are they as good as Cherry Mx?
*
I am currently using Phantom Elite TKL, running on KAILH Bronze switches; which i would say i love it sooo much as i can type faster than i used to. I have few orders coming in to upgrade the KAILH switches like Ninja Keycaps, spring replacement, Orings and lubes. Customising the switches before considering replacing with Cherry MX Green/RGB Green. But with the spring change on KAILH switches, I am expecting it to behave almost the similar as the intended MX Green.
Bonus point for this Keyboard is that it is hotswapable, which sounds good for me until I am looking to custom make one myself.

Spring change?
*
yip .... switch lubing and spring upgrade to some say insane 160g springs.... but i love it.... xD

in addition wanted to add foam on the back of the keyboard and change the stabliser to a different different sorts .... but it not easy as it seems as u need to bend some pin on the board to change the stabliser .... ended up .... let it rest for a while xD

Whoa! I thought I was heavy handed. I enjoy my Aliaz with 80g. Had a 100g in a tester but thought it was a bit too much. But you do you man.

What kind of stabs did you get? I would have thought that tecware uses plate mount stabs that should be quite easy to remove?
*
Initially that the same thought I have as well, until I tooked off every screws on the board... then only to find out there are 2 pins on the plate that is bend and hooked to tonthe pcb board. And also the stabs rods it mounted between pcb board and front plate. Anyway what stopping for now is warranty.... just wait till next service time .... i will try to unbend the pin (pray it dont break off) and change the stab. The stab I chosen is transparent type.... goes well with the looks of Kailh Speed switches.

As for me way of typing behavior.... i would i was trained using an ancient typewriter.... which is almost the pressure of 150g lol.... people use to tell me dont kill your laptop keyboard.... lol....

How would you rate YMDK products' quality vs kbdfans and kprepublic?

Kbdfans>kprepublic>ymdk?

I am actually satisfied with kbdfans ... currently my. mech keyboard uses all the stuff from kbdfans.... but might explore other option for ninja keycaps smile.gif
