That depends if you are happy with Digi. You are very likely to get a call from customer retention department when they receive your port-out request. Their offer will definitely surprise you and you may not want to port-out in the end.

However, if Digi network is below par at your place, then think no further. Just port-out.

You may want to consider the revamped Xpax Postpaid Lite M Plan too. It costs RM38/month and you get 8GB data, unlimited YouTube (SD) and unlimited calls. If you watch a lot of YouTube, that plan may just be more suitable for you since YouTube really can use up a lot of data.

I was upgraded from Digi Ambassador 68 Plan to Digi80.. Since MCO, i stayed at home and use wifi for all data. My quota hardly reached 1/2 usage but paying RM80.
I hope they call

They won't call unless you in the process of porting IN to other telco.
Go on...try to tempt them that you will be leaving soon..

The so-called revamped Hotlink Postpaid is not new, Maxis said.

Based on the article, what you see on their website is the standard plans. If you’re a Hotlink Postpaid subscriber, you need to check your app to gain access to the special pass that isn’t publicly marketed for now, which is RM10/month for extra 10GB data. Read the article again.

So no, you won’t see any changes to to standard plans you see now on their website.

Managed to change both my numbers from Hotlink Postpaid 30 with more data (RM40/month) to the new Hotlink Postpaid 40 (also RM40/month). Chatted with two agents separately as I would like to verify that the 10GB for RM10 special pass can indeed be subscribed from the app.

However, the process is really frustrating as the first agent doesn't even know the existence of the 10GB for RM10 special pass, or doesn't want to admit it.

Then comes the most confusing part in which the second agent told me, if I remove the 4GB Internet + 3GB Youtube addon from the "Hotlink Postpaid 30 with more data" plan, the RM10 from the addon will not be prorated. However, if I change the "Hotlink Postpaid 30 with more data" plan itself to the "Hotlink Postpaid 30" plan, it will be prorated as it is considered as a plan change. The confusing thing is, if "Hotlink Postpaid 30 with more data" itself was made up of the "4GB Internet + 3GB Youtube addon" and the "Hotlink Postpaid 30" plan, why is there a difference between removing the addon and changing the plan? This was not an issue with the first agent, but luckily the second agent managed to understand what I wanted to do in the end.

TLDR, it's a frustrating process switching to the so called not revamped Hotlink Postpaid plans.

For now, just subscribe to Postpaid 30 and add on 10gb for RM10 from the app, same as what is shown on the Lowyat website. As the 10GB pass doesn't seem to be on auto renewal, so I guess we'll have to manually subscribe to it every month until Maxis changes it.

yes, just called 123 just now to confirmed. And, the 10gb pass is only temporary during MCO period, aka most likely until end of the year 31 Dec 2020, unless Hotlink change their plan

And, do not add RM10 for 10GB now, as it follow your billing date.

Example
Billing date is 21 of every month
Today is 15th Jul

If u subscribe the RM10 for 10GB, it will expired on 20th Jul 2020, 11:59:59pm, regardless whether u have fully use the quota or not. Any unused quota, burn bangwall.gif

So, the agent advise

used up all data quota 19th/20th Jul if u subscribe to rm10 4gb auto add on, and called to cancel it
21st go buy the rm10 for 10GB data via hotlink apps. Remember do it on monthly basis

Hope this help

You can try this as shown on the Hotlink website, but I have no idea how long it will take as I never tried before.

Using Hotlink Postpaid(previously known as Hotlink Flex). RM40/month

Planning to switch to Celcom Xpax lite. RM38/month

Reason to switch: some areas(Klang Valley) I went to Maxis has very weak signal.

Do you think Celcom will be better?

Celcom Xpax Lite Postpaid offers more competitive plans overall too. The RM38/month package gives you 8GB of data + unlimited YouTube (SD) + unlimited calls. Just port-out to Celcom.

If by the end of the day you feel Maxis is still better, you can always port back in next time. But for current plan offerings by Hotlink Postpaid (except the Hotlink Postpaid and Fibre plan) and Celcom Xpax Lite Postpaid, Celcom Xpax Lite Postpaid is no doubt the better one.

Poor naming scheme, or its just typical Maxis trying to milk more money.

Feel free to switch to other telco, such as Celcom Xpax Lite Postpaid. The RM38/month plan comes with 8GB data + unlimited YouTube (SD) + unlimited calls. Else Maxis won’t bother to improve their postpaid offerings. You can always port back next time.
