I had same experience. I ported out from Hotlink Postpaid and they also asked me to pay an amount before port out and I did. When official bill came, it was overpaid, around RM5 to RM8. I asked Maxis for refund and they said under their T&C, anything less than RM30, there is no refund.

So, I filed a complaint with MCMC online and Maxis immediately refunded me.

If Maxis tells you the same thing, then file a complaint with MCMC online.

I can call and receive call but mobile data 4G but no internet
Change to 5G but still connect to 4G

not necessary, just login hotlink app on the new phone and it will ask confirmation to transfer esim to the new phone (im talking from my experience transferring iphone side by side)

also they gonna charge rm10 for that...

if iPhone, can try to use the transfer eSIM function. Do it after the new iPhone has been setup.
This should save the Rm10 sim replacement charge.
